Native Plant Resource Teams - a new community resource you can use 

The Bring Backthe Natives Garden Tour has introduced a wonderful new user-friendly online app for the native plant community. "Native Plant Resource Teams" enables native plant enthusiasts to find other gardeners in their area and schedule allkinds of meet-ups, alert one another about upcoming local events of interest, and share knowledge and advice about habitat creation. It is 100% user-driven. So far it has been enormously successful. This video by Jennifer Dirking explains it all, including how you can sign up and take advantage of this great service! At the end of the presentation there is a brief explanation of how you can receive from EBMUD (East Bay Municipal Utility District) rebates for replacing you lawn with natives, using the services of a landscape designer, and acquiring mulch for your project-all in the service of water conservation.
