The US owns Finland now and does and is taking over the border with Russia and building 15 bases on the border under total US control. Finland needs written permission to enter those regions, from Washington. Essentially they carved off the southern border and the northern border and given it to the US. Finland has the second dumbest leaders just behind Germany who were so eager to destroy their own industries to please Washington. Your concern is well placed but in reality Russia has thousands and thousand's of miles of border. The real danger is not from its border it is within. Simply there are millions of Ukrainian's in Russia. Some of them will be assets of the west and just waiting for instructions. There used to be 300 or more shopping busses full of shoppers from St Petersburg every morning for the day trip and they were allowed 75kg duty free but that was shut down 2 years ago so there is no reason to travel to Finland even if they opened up again,
