The Gift of The Givers are the only organisation that are prepared for any eventuality, shameful that they should always have to step in where Government fails. Total incompetence.

Dr Sooliman seems to be the only man who is wise and experienced enough to run that type of agency.

Isn't it an absolute disgrace as Dr Sooliman so graciously points out about the people on the ground who are starving and the ANC turn their backs on these poor people and support others who receive billions of $ in aid. Our Country is a disgrace, we have people living in squalor...it is an utter disgrace...

The presenter asks what Dr Sooliman can do, they have done everything and still Government is asleep at the wheel. Get an ANC spokesman on air and ask the hard questions.

This was our 3rd flooding in 2years,they tell us to get out to safety,but we had nowhere to go.They promised this year it will be better,it's worst!!!Where is the DA??Comes summer everyone forgets about the disasters in winter and nothing gets done to prevent this from happening again and again.

This is the problem with goverment ,with couvirt there was major problems the feeding schemes of the government have first look into there own interest,familys and friends the people that really needed to get the food they never got or there was nothing.so we need honest and loyal people to see to all South Africans not just there own.😭🙈😢

This disaster entity will become a disaster of more corruption. The issue with setting up a crisis department will end up just like the COVID pandemic. Suppliers and tenders will be given to family members of politicians to fill up their pockets.

Where is the DA?

Bureaucracy kills so much... when snap decisions are necessary there needs to be a mechanism where all the red tape can be safely bypassed (but accountability needs to be very strong!)

Give imtiaz Sooliman the role to oversee disaster management, employ gift of the givers as a 3rd party or outsource it so he doesn't have any political influence or impact on the image of the governing party . It's clear the guys who hold these positions don't know what to do because they flat out have no experience in managing these things . For goodness sake we have Angie as the defense minister when the lady has done education all her life. I mean cmon . There's no common sense in our leading parties at all .
