I dyed this fabric in madder and used iron water (ferrous sulphate) to paint on the cloth to create a pattern. The iron water can be created using metal pieces soaked in water and I have also tried iron supplements. Each one will yield different results. The first fabric I am painting on is a silk/cotton blend and the other two are cotton. Once the fabric has been washed give it an iron and that will help to set the colours. Thank you for watching !
