This is perfect! Thank you for showing every step. Do you ever encounter fairy knots? I started following your regimen, and I’m loving it! However, I seem to find little knots sometimes, that don’t easily slide out. So I end up cutting it 🥴.. I think it’s from the dryness and neglect my hair went through while growing it out from a fade hair cut 🤔.
Right! Lol oh dont let us be out and someone ask about my hair.. He steals the show EVERY TIME then has nerve to tell me to keep it natural as if he dont know me?
You and your husband are a beautiful couple. I started using aloe vera juice to moisturize my hair because of your videos. OMG my hair loves it. I finally found something natural that my hair loves. My hair is getting thicker and longer. My scalp stays cleaner longer and doesnt itch or flake anymore. Detangling is a peice of cake now. I threw out and gave away all my leave in conditioners. I'm making the transition to only using aloe, castor oil and other oils and my favorite butter from Qhemet Biologics. Thank you. your tips really do work. 4year natural hair journey anniversary next week...wooohooo. patience and love are the key. Even after 4 years I am still discovering ways to care for my afro. who knew this journey was so revolutionary. I cant wait to see what this year will bring.
Chile when you cut the leaf put the gel directly on you hair! Let me tell you. That aloe gel is Gods natural detangler lol. It's the truth. I had big aloe vera plants in the front of my house and I used them occasionally. Now I'm using then religiously.
@@mZToyadiva101 OH YESSSSS. I use the gel from the plant for my prepoo treatments. I got that idea from natural 85's prepoo video. my hair loves that. crazy that I never thought to use aloe in my hair daily until I joined the tribe. I do like to wash my hair too often and now I dont feel guilty. my scalp stays clean and itch free due to the aloe juice I massage in. breaking my product junkie habits also helped. I realized I didnt need all those creams and milks. all they did was build up on my scalp and hair making it heavy dull and my scalp itchy. I'm falling in love all over again with my hair. I wont be able to stop looking at myself when my hair reaches my shoulders and back. it's getting there slowly but surely. Patience Patience Patience. love to u sis.
@@QueenOfTheDamned Hi lady. I have never tried that one. I religiously use the amla and olive heavy cream, the cocoa tree detangling ghee and I recently tried the olive and honey hydrating balm. I LOVE THESE PRODUCTS. I have never tried the aethiopika twist butter. I use shea butter but please dont tempt me...I'm trying to break my product junkie habits. lol. have a great day.
Oh of course we want that... we would all buy it if you sold it. If you went on Etsy and created a page and said my secret oil everybody would buy that oil🤔You could be like a Beloved this could be your Golden goose
What is beautiful about your channel is that your hair regimen comes from a different perspective of hair care. Plus, you have successfully achieved and maintained a healthy head of hair. This is what makes your channel unique and unlike others. Plus, you have a wonderful personality. I guess we will be seeing your husband’s hair care regimen soon. Seems like his cameo appearance was a warning ⚠️ Lol 😂 😂😁
I also use flaxseed on my whole twist. I find it to be bomb as I unravel my hair the next week/ two, I see a huge difference. As in actual growth, no kidding..
how do you preserve your flaxseed gel? I hope she makes a video about how she preserves it. I just have flaxseed sitting the cabinet waiting to be used
Would love to see a video of your husband doing your hair and you doing his. Would be fun and encourage men to appreciate and love their wives curly/kinky hair.
I used Shea butter to twist my hair and it's made my twists super shiny, soft, and juicy and holds my twists in place Soo well! Definitely gonna be using it more often 👍🏾
Thank you. Your hair is gorgeous! Thanks for validating a routine I just started and is almost identical to yours. MOISTER IS KEY TO ALL SUCCESSFUL NATURALS AND THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH LAYERING NATURAL PRODUCTS TO ACHIEVE IT! My natural 4A, extremely fine yet dense hair is very dry. I didn't even know the texture of my hair and thought it was 4C, until I stopped using over-the-counter hair products as well as the usual culprits of hair damage, like relaxers. My hair was not the beautiful 4C texture, no, it was dry, damaged, and felt like straw. It's taken me over a year to learn my hair, so, when a silky, soft texture first started growing on our of my scalp, I didn't recognize it as my hair - I WAS SHOOK AND SHOCKED! I wonder how many other women are ignorant about their true hair texture because of the damaging way we were instructed to care for our locks from childhood onward. We weren't "Together", if our hair wasn't. Pressed or Relaxed. FINALLY!!!!! WE KNOW OUR NATURAL HAIR, WHEN WELL CARED FOR, IS BEAUTIFUL!! Why do u think our damaged, short hair was accepted and rarely mentioned except to joke about, perhaps, but now that our hair is full, gorgeous, and often times long, some people have a problem. You mean a woman with inch long and damaged is OK, but not my regal afro, beautiful braids or twists to the waist and called "INAPPROPRIATE?" I say it's hair envy causing all the turmoil. Just my ok opinion. After all, who could with honesty claim that YOUR hair isn't GORGEOUS?? I'm just sayin!. Now, off the soapbox.....I started using water, a combo of oils I put together, DIY Flaxseed gel, Shea Butter and Kinky Curly curling custard to do wash and go on my TWA and the results are awesome! After spraying with water, I layer the above and my frizzy fro is transformed into curls. Again thank you for the wonderful routine. I am going to SUBSCRIBE and I look forward to more helpful hints.💐🎁💐🎁💐🎁💐🎁💐🎁💐🎁💐🎁💐🎁💐🎁💐🎁
Thanks indigenous strands for your tips. My hair grew almost to hip Lenght. But i dont spray aloevera juice everyday on my scalp because of shrinkage. I use thea threa oil 2 or 3 times a week for itch and it kills bacteria and fungus(that's what aloevera juice does) . I have 60-70 twist and redow them every 2-3week but i advice every 2 weeks. Wash hair every 3 months. I clean my scalp every whit acv every 2 weeks with a hot rag and clean my scalp that way. And moisterize whit oils. And use flaxseed Gel for the ends so my ends wil tangle I do this 1-3 times in a week. This helped me grow my hair to almost hip length/tailbone lenght
Wait? Sis, I'm 4 mins into your video and just peeped that all that hair is yours. I thought it was added hair. New subbie here. My bad sis. Darn, your hair is gorgeous, thick and super long. Wow. Oh, your husband's hair is also gorgeous.☺☺
Once again, I was anxiously awaiting this video. I think I have developed an addiction lol On another note, I smiled broadly when I saw you apply the aloe leaf to your scalp. Of late, I had suffered some scalp irritation and itching, the aloe leaf was my saving grace. I now routinely apply aloe from MY aloe plant to my scalp because of its soothing, cooling effect, although the problem no longer exists :) Mum has planted a few ( she has the green thumb) and I have shanelessly declared , part ownership ha ha ha !
The natural hair movement like to say we can get product build up from oils and butters but I see that not always true. Also, great hair wrapping tips for night time. I sometimes struggle with that. I don't like to scrunch either. I'd rather let my hair hang. I need to find longer and wider scarfs. Thanks for the video!
Scalp oil pleaseeeeeee!!! Not even gonna lie I just noticed I wasn’t a subscriber and I’ve been watching your videos for a good 4 months strong , I’m so sorryyyyyh forgive me ? Lol
Hiiiiiiii!! Thanks for the night time tips!!! You have helped my GRANDDAUGHTER and I reach Bra strap length in twist THANKS! WE love ya!!😘❤ We follow you religiously!! We also picked up a couple of your cute tees!!
@@IndigenousStrandz11 I am getting my life together right now! Editing a Legging Head wrap tutorial for fall and winter. Look out for it. I have missed you too Sis! Big Hugs!
For a second I thought the fly was the special guest!😄😄😄You're husband's hair!😍 You both have beautiful hair! Beautiful couple with a gorgeous baby!😘💞💞💞💞💞❤
Thank you for sharing all this! I was giving up on my hair and watching this is so encouraging.I want long healthy hair, not after a curl pattern..lol you and your hair are the Truth!
Yes!!! Please do a DIY oil video. My two daughters and I started using Aloe Vera juice in our hair and on our face. What a big difference we see. Thanks!
I have like 38 twists in my fine strands; I realized when I make them small the excessive manipulation causes breakage. Did you ever record the video for us fine stranded tribes? I hope I didn't miss it. You and the hubs are so cute btw.
Please do a video on how you make your hair oil. I’ve been doing your routine for a month on my hair & I only put aloe on my baby’s hair. It’s great using more all natural products & I save so much $. Lol... your husband showing off his hair. I look forward to your content always. Much love Sis!!!
I love the love and respect you have for you hair. And I really live your jewelry. Would you be willing to tell us about it? Keep up the 💣 content and yes do a scalp oil video
Thank you again for the wonderful informative video...and your beau was doing his thing😁. I have got to make a flax seed gel...I even have a DIY Kit which was a subscription box but I still haven’t had the chance to make at least 6 kits. I’m going to either Walmart or TJMaxx and getting a cheap pot for my hair products I need to put on the stove...talk about being lazy. Anyway, if that kit doesn’t work out I’ll make your recipe but since I’ve had the kit for over 2 years and all the ingredients are dry and sealed it should be perfectly fine. I’ll still do a test patch first. Great seeing you again and it was nice seeing your husband.
How in the world did I miss this video! It’s so funny how I was just thinking today about potentially using flaxseed gel on the length of my hair for added health benefits while in twist. And boom 💥 I ran into this video with you doing this very thing!!! I’m so excited to add this to my routine, because I am tired of experiencing breakage. This is a very new thing for me, so I want to stop it while it’s still is the beginning stage. I have already had a huge setback, it is for sure time to make some major changes. I can’t wait till my shea butter arrives from amazon.
At first I thought you mainly used castor oil to the length of your hair I didn’t even know you applied shea butter. How long have you been using shea butter for?
Great minds think alike, I must say! Just made a fresh batch of DIY okra & flaxseed gels, then I started thinking..."How about applying this to the length of my hair & not just the ends as recommended for braids & twists?" Seems we're both on to something 😉. Enjoyed this video & learned a few things...like I need to up my aloe vera use (have a whole bunch of them growing in pots all over the place!) New subbie here😀...
I make a DIY okra gel too! Not too many folks rock with okra. Once a week I use my gel on my length and get moisture for 3 days or more. Now it's my staple product for controlling frizz. No flaking or buildup! 😁👍🏽
@@l.patrick3155 my go-to is puffs/buns. I just detangle my hair in sections with aloe juice, then moisturize each section with my okra gel. At night I pineapple. 😁👍🏽
You all *refuse* to learn. She grew her hair to her KNEES *without* anything special or expensive... and you _still_ want her to get on the bandwagon to be like everyone else on RU-vid. If that's not blind and deaf idk what is. If you want a recipe for chebe oil, it's been done already by plenty of people - despite the fact that that's not how it's meant to be used.
Sunnye Daize I don’t need to learn anything from you. I have several videos discussing Chebe and the mixture I use. Her hair is long like the women of Chad. That’s why I want to see it applied to her hair. I don’t know what bandwagon you are referring to and I don’t care. You don’t even have a real picture up.
Wow, I was just watching one of your other videos and left a comment about 1 minute ago lol. I wanted to know, how often do you do your wash day routine? Thanks for this vid. I just started a night time routine for myself and my sis today, so I can add these tips as well. And your husband's natural highlights are cool as well. I have them too, but they're not as pronounced.
@@Dootstvee Wow, that's a long time. But I remember leaving my individual braids with the braid hair in for a whole semester, so at least 4-6 months and I saw noticeable growth. I might try that because my hair can take a lot of build up, and I can also refresh it in between and use tea tree oil, which is antifungal etc. Thanks for the response!
@@Dootstvee That's cool, he's a surfer dude lol. I heard you mention in another video you were living in LA. That's where I'm from. No wonder you have a cool vibe lol.
Just wondering if you can do a day in the life of vid.... or a question/answer vid (live). Also how do you wear your hair for work? Does your job allow you to wear wraps, I know our state passed a law for our hair but not sure where head wraps fit in to that equation lol. P.s. everyone wants a video on how you do the diy oil treatment, (I'd rather just buy it from you for when I'm too lazy to diy it) lol.
😂😂 maybe one day I'll stop being lazy and start a business lol yes thats a wonderful idea!!!!! Im n the medical field so when it comes to hair its pretty laxed but best if worn back or away
Buy the big jug of aloe juice get it on Amazon it’s like 10 bucks ship it to your house and keep it in the fridge and fill the spray bottle and just leave the spray bottle out.... but now that I think about it you can probably just leave the the big jug out too I keep mine in the fridge
Am I the only one who thought she was going to take down each strand when she took the first few down😁🤣😂???!!! Lol..was like..ummm..welp, guess I want get that kind of length!!! Love the jewelry and confidence!! And tips of course👍🏽👍🏽😁😁
If you’re using just oil you can try using a heavier oil or Shea butter. When i used mine with just oil it was dry af but with Shea butter i dont have that problem (note my Shea butter is mixed with alot of oils & grease lol)
jennifer atlet I’m curious because I use aloe juice and that’s fine, but when I use the actual plant it seems to smell after a few days. I want to know what I’m doing wrong. 🤷🏾♀️
@@the_moms_lounge oh I know what you mean love!! 😅 I use the juice too and not the plant, I imagine if there's any smell you can rinse your scalp with water or the acv will remove it she probably does that if ever there's a funky smell or something 🙈🙈I think she uses such a little amount of the plant gel that after absorbtion there's probably no smell 😊
Genuine question. May I ask why you choose to use the chosen products to retwist your hair? What made you want to use them & why in that order? I never was one to retwist my twists because of me being low porosity & anytime I try to retwist my hair it doesn't dry then it'll smell like mildew which results in me having to rewash my hair. Another thing is, I know it's necessary to retwist when hair become frizzy & dry but my roots ALWAYS get frizzy & dry immediately. Idk why either which makes me not want to retwist otherwise it'll be everyday or every other day. I would like to implement a regimen of what products I can use to retwist my hair, how frequently, etc. And help my roots to not be frizzy. Can you help me please?
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ML9nQ_DYeUw.html she doesn't do DIY deep conditioners only oils and gel, (shea butter is the newest added to products she uses on her hair so far).
