The time you take with your hair shows! Very nice and refreshing to see a real video showing how much effort it takes to maintain/retain/obtain long natural hair.😍😍🙌🏾
Love it. This is a very realistic approach to a wash day. I recently started finger detangling, and I noticed how tired I got after. I love the approach of sleeping on the detangled hair, and styling the next day! Keep up the great work, love your videos!
my hair is getting longer since following and trying out the tips and reviews from your videos, and I absolutely love this new found length. But I've never, in my 19 years of life, had such long hair and it's breaking my bank account 😂 I've found myself needing to buy more shampoos, conditioners, leave-ins, etc because I'm running out faster. a huge thank you tho because my hair went from shoulder length to all the way down my back. I love you so much for your videos, your content is so incredibly helpful 😍😍
I see you sis! I have to make sure my iPad is charged beforehand to get through detangling 😄 I hauled all the new products in recent video called "All Black Everything Haul | #BlackOwnedBusinesses" If you want to know more about the products, I talk about them there.
PowerInYourCurl Sweet! I'll definitely check it out. I watch all of your videos, not sure how I missed it. I'm looking for new products to take me into fall/winter. Always looking for moisturizing, quality brands. Thank you for your response!! Netflix, music, fingers, and products with lots of slip. Yep that sums up my wash day as well. 😁
Your hair is so long and beautiful! 💜 I also like to get a bottle of water to drink when I'm sitting under the hooded dryer too. It gets steamy up in there😂
This this absolutely the best and one of the most detailed wash "day"(lets be real its wash days) routine I've seen so far. my back is still hurting from all the standing and detangling i did for my latest wash days
I love how you take your time detangaling your hair outside the shower then deep condition The day After you wash your hair. Cause wash day can be extremely tiring to me as well. I'm going to try this method thank you 😊
PowerInYourCurl lolll it really is tbh like it's barely frizzy and you have tight curls unlike a lot of youtubers who have super long hair so it's nice to see someone with tight curls with such long beautiful hair (not throwing any dust at the tight curlies with shorter hair) it just shows it's possible okay this long gotta go👋🏽
GIRL! I bought the Mielle deep conditioner and almond oil that you recommend, then I followed your wash day steps. I even did the detangling before shampooing. This was the easiest I've ever handled my hair. My hair feels so juicy and moisturized, and my curls are super defined! Thanks for sharing all of your tips.
Your hair is long healthy and beautiful..thanks for the video...I like how you give no bullshit methods...simple and not a bunch of ridiculous rituals lies and hair growth methods...
Detangling my hair is the worst for me. I have to be patient when i wash it, cause a lot of my hair comes out as a result of it. Thanks for this video and the products.
If I'm ever lucky enough to have hair as long as yours I'll definitely detangle with a brush. I can't sleep in wet hair. I think it's important to remember that you have to find a routine that works for you and your hair. So I appreciate you putting yours up so we can see different methods and figure out what might work for us too! Do you have low porosity hair?
Wow my hair is similar to yours just kinkier but it’s soft and on the thinner side. I just started really taking care of my hair a few years ago after my big chop. I also realized my hair does not like any utensils either so I just finger detangle in the shower like you and do the rest when I am doing my wash and go. I love your hair !
This is very helpful. This video reminded me that my hair was most moisturized when I was double conditioning. So rinseout followed by deep conditioner. I've been using regular conditioners as deep conditioners lately bc most DC's coat my low po hair.
I'm so glad I found your channel! Your hair looks a lot like mine in both texture and density! I have fine stranded, regular density, non super thick hair and I never see a lot of Naturals with longer hair that matches those descriptions like your's does. Not that your hair isn't full btw lol but I mean like how the fine strands stick together and clump more in a way that doesn't make it look as super crazy thick as most popular naturals on youtube have.
Once again another very informative video. The products you used were new to me. It's refreshing to see different products around. It seems like you see a lot of the same products with these curly videos. When you deep condition with heat is there a chance of heat damage? I've never tried it with heat because I try to just stay away from it but I struggle keeping my ends healthy. It seems like no matter how much I trim my ends they are always splitting. In your opinion do you thing deep conditioning with heat will help me to keep my ends healthy?
Thank you, I am glad you enjoyed. And I know what you mean seeing the same products, I am trying to mix it up within my own routine because I get bored too lol. When I deep condition with heat I set the hooded dryer to the low setting, which is one setting above cool so it isn't hot just warm. Using a shower cap over your hair while under the dryer is indirect heat that serves to trap moisture so the heat is not actually touching your hair. I have not had any issues with getting heat damage from the hooded dryer and if you use it properly you most likely will not either. Also, deep conditioners work wayyyy better in my hair with heat and help me maintain my ends better so I would give it a try for 2-4 wash days to see if it makes a difference in the look and feel of your ends.
I'm a wash and go type of girl so this is right up my alley. I don't have the beautiful lenght like you so I have severe shrinkage. I love your vids. Keep up the good work. 🌴😃💯🤗💐🌻🌸🌷👍💜😋🌴
you are so gentle with your locks. Did you always take care of your hair this way and use these methods or did you change depending on the length milestones you reached?
+Raven Cloud Thank you. My hair care regimen evolved over time as I got more serious about growing healthy hair and I began to learn more about what my hair does and does not like. And yes, as my hair got longer I had to change my regimen. For instance when my hair was shorter I could detangle in the shower, but now it is easier for me to detangle sitting down in front of a mirror.
I wish I could wash my hair in the sink, but I have roommates so the kitchen is never as clean as yours. One day when I have my own place, I will start haha!
Thank you for all your videos and details. I'm low porosity and I'm learning so much from your videos. I have one question though, I thought it was bad to sleep with your hair wet?
Will you be doing a video of your HG products all in one video? I know you have spoken about them throughout multiple videos. And while my hair is fine and high porosity. The products that you love seem to work wonders on my hair so this coming Black Friday I want to dip into some of those. I'm trying to make my list early lol
Yes I can! I talk about them here and there so I know it may be helpful to have them in one place for you guys. and I'm already making my Black Friday List too! haha
PowerInYourCurl Thank you soo much. You have no idea how much you have helped my hair and scalp (if were being honest) I did your wash day routine and used what you used and for the first in a long time my scalp hasn't been really itchy or red/irritated/inflamed like it normally does. I also got Mielle Organics because of you and my hair has thanked me every since. And my scalp (that oil is heaven sent lol)
So I have a lot of shrinkage when I do my hair. I am now wondering if it is because I use a thick leave in conditioner when I do my hair. I've always assumed my hair needs lots of moisture and usually go with a thicker leave in conditioner. But after watching your video, I may actually use a lighter leave in conditioner and a cream. I find that gels usually flake up in my hair no matter how much I cleanse it.
Who has 2 days to do their hair 😨😧😦 can see why your hairs so beautiful and long 😍 but if I had to wash my hair over two days I'd never have time to spend with my daughter 🙁 Fair play to you though 💖
