Natural Hair Is NOT Selling Market, Wear WIGS if You Want To Marry! REACTION VIDEO
I saw this video and I decided to express my thoughts about it. I wanted to share Simi's tweet but I completely forgot. I got too "excited."

The message came to me as mounting so much pressure on ladies to get a man. Personally, I will teach my daughter to look presentable for herself, go to places and engage in activities that she really likes and enjoys. Ladies, your preferences are also very valid. It's not about what a man wants you to look or do, it's about what YOU want to do and how you want to look

You make a valid point. Finding a life partner is a complex journey, and there's no one-size-fits-all approach. While socializing and being outgoing can help meet potential partners, it's not the sole determinant of finding a husband. Building a strong foundation of self-awareness, self-care, and spiritual connection can also play a crucial role in attracting a compatible partner. Prioritizing personal well-being and values, including a relationship with God, can contribute to a fulfilling and healthy romantic relationship. It's essential for individuals to focus on personal growth and happiness, which can, in turn, make them more attractive to the right partner when the time is right.

I love your reaction to the video, Very well said. I totally agree with all what you said, You have do you, pursue your purpose while you pray and wait for your desired man. The man should meet you while you’re staying through to yourself, if you like him and you too end up getting married, then you two can shift grounds to fit into each other’s preferences if need be

How is it that in the abroad European men love black women with natural hair. When i leave my hair natural I get so many compliments from white people. But you see my family and friends they are the worst it is always " when are you going to do your hair?" and I'm like i dont understand i spent 4hrs doing my twists but apparently it's not enough for our people. If i braid my hair or wear wigs come and look at the compliments. It really annoys me😢

I don't know why I feel she is teaching women to be deceptive to get a husband. If the man does not like you for who you are, not just our looks, then God will send the right one for you. He will appreciate you no matter what. Why do women have to be the one to bend over backwards just to be appreciated by men. Wearing a wig does not make you a better person, it is your character. Like ya'll say Rubbish🙄so you wear a wig to attract the man, onece you get him you take the wig off, how deceptive.

Wow… this lady in purple… just wow… I live in NL, Europe and the only thing I did was indeed go to church, go to school and come back home. I am a homebody and a Nigerian… The Lord BROUGHT my husband to me from Nigeria to Belgium to start attending the church I was attending. See what the Lord can do. Why box God? Please this message sounds toxic to me for young women… if a man loves you, he will PURSUE you. Despite how you look. My husband is amazing and loves me in my homebodiness and loves my love and passion for God as he is also passionate for God. It clicked and God knew exactly what he was doing. Pursue God and everything else will be added unto you young girls, not this message

A presentable appearance whether wearing wigs or otherwise does not validate that you would get a man ready to marry. Someone like my hubby stopped me because of my low-cut hair because to him, a lady not about wigs must be serious minded.

Thanks for this …the context is that she was speaking to Single women ….secondly though she mentioned about natural hair, that’s her own preference so really she should have re phrased it better …the point is look decent and presentable…I hope she also mentioned about values and character…again she was trying to encourage going out and meeting people which is a good point if you are at that stage in your life where you are searching..though God can bring some one to you where you are at because He can do any thing

God bless you dear Nike. Sad to see this kind of messages coming from the pulpit! Fake it till you get your catch kinda thinking! Hmmm! So much focus on carnality! This was the mantra waaay back when I was in Uni, before getting born again! So, hearing this ""Pastoral counsel'' what is the difference btw the world and the church? Really sad!

In my opinion that program was not a normal service it was for singles that want to get married and all she was saying is that the extra mile to look good don’t look unkempt she wasn’t trying to condemn natural hair
@sherwood9917
@sherwood9917 8 месяцев назад
You are defending the indefensible. You are doing exactly what she did in that video: associating natural hair with "unattractive" and "unkempt". If she did not mean to "condemn" natural hair, then she should not have done so. It's funny because I happen to think that the fake hair, with the very unnatural part, that she is wearing is beyond ridiculous.
@mmesovlogs
@mmesovlogs 8 месяцев назад
@@sherwood9917 not at all natural hair is beautiful infact you can be unkempt even with your wig on….if you watched at the end she was don’t be caught unfresh besides who told you relaxed hair is not natural
@sherwood9917
@sherwood9917 8 месяцев назад
@@mmesovlogs Surely, you are not suggesting that relaxed hair-hair that has been CHEMICALLY altered- is natural. All natural hair that grows from your scalp is beautiful. Didn't the God that you worship create the natural hair that grows from your scalp? So, how could it not be beautiful?

The Scripture says in Psalms 1:1, “Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly…” What so many don’t understand is that godly people can give ungodly counsel. Now more than ever we must be discerning.

Here’s my observation, whenever I wore long straight wigs, I often attracted men who were not serious about settling down. When I wore my natural hair, I didn’t attract many but the few I did were more mature older men. This one black cop was in awe with my Afro puff 😂

👀🤨 Is that what the Lord told her to preach 🤔? The Bible says, "you shall know them by their fruits "😔. I don't know who that speaker is, but that's why people should be cautious about "kneeling" before anyone because of what appears to be "anointing." Honestly, I'm TIRED of the toxicity of EVERYONE preaching or giving advise to women on how to "catch a man", like the male gender is about to be extinct. Preach and advise men! There was no misunderstanding on what the speaker said. She didn't misspoke to were an audience can translate that she meant to say women should look nice for themselves, go out to enjoy themselves, develop their own character, have their own identity, and if they like a guy then say hi, etc. No! Instead she preached/advised to be manipulative, loose identity & self worth, and the primary focus on doing anything is to catch a man. Im disgusted! SMH. However we only saw a very short but loud clip, so maybe she made a mistake? 🤷 😂

See Ehn, some people would carry this natural hair like life has tired them. If you can’t take care of it, please do something to be presentable. If it’s wig, do. If it’s to plait, do it neatly

Hahaha, I actually see it differently. I might not have used her exact words to get to her point, but her point is not lost on me. I think she made use of exaggerations in painting the picture, which on the surface (and to young ladies) might be misleading. However, I ate the meat and spat the bones. The meat being, present yourself in the most advantageous way possible (and I agree with you, I believe that can express itself in many different ways). And also when you prepare for a thing, its ok to explore opportunities that can lead to the thing. Because we can sometimes get immersed in prayer/fasting that we either use it as a crutch or we don't know how to engage with the open door (we prayed for) when it presents itself … For e.g. God can decide to set you up with your manzz by leading you to a singles game night/mixer/hangout on the same day as your church's prayer call, but you shut it down-- not because God said no, but because you are actually scared to put yourself out there again and the more familiar/comfortable option is to join the call. Just my 2 cents ofc. But fun video as per usual. Please keep these reaction videos coming, I truly enjoy them.

Idk...I feel like we're looking too deep into it. The woman is just giving some game & tbh when you're in a cycle of not doing these things you forget. Eat the fish & spit out the bones. Dress up & get out of the house.
@rollwithgovo
@rollwithgovo 8 месяцев назад
I think we’re looking into deep because we really should. She’s speaking from a pulpit that people take seriously. Not everyone she’s talking to can take the fish and leave out the bones. That’s the danger. She needs to rethink her self esteem issues.

I rock my natural hair which is very beautiful, but there are some days I feel tired combing and do all those stuffs, I just refresh one wig and wear or I go to make my hair. This lady is not saying natural hair is not good, the main message is to look good. The hair of a woman is her glory, please invest in it. What people see first is your looks❤
@cupcake1065
@cupcake1065 8 месяцев назад
She didn't just say 'make sure your hair looks good'. She specified that natural hair in particular is not appropriate when you're looking to get married - which is insulting. God who made us, saw it fit to give us our hair texture, how then can our God-given hair texture be not good enough for man? I feel her message was poor in that regard, but her comments are based on cultural influences, as in Nigeria they seem to be obsessed with light skin, straighter hair and looking 'clean'.

This preacher is misleading and putting undue pressure on the single ladies. You don't need to fake wearing makeup or wearing long hair to keep a man or suffocate yourself with an unbreathable corset. pity someone who will take this sermon hook, line, and sinker and run with it. What about those that have done all of these and it hasn't yielded a fruit? Just stay true t to yourself.

If she’s preaching to women okay, but women shouldn’t be preaching in the pulpit. The role of pastor is designed by God for males. It’s not to be sexist. God has set order in His church. Also. I’ve come to realise that my life is supposed to be about following Jesus not being married at or by a certain time. That is the most important thing His wants for you. To live Him with all your heart, soul and might and to love your neighbour as yourself. Stop focusing so much on your looks and focus on Christ. Not saying you can’t look good or go out looking busted. But focus on Jesus.
