I’m a new natural, always had a relaxer growing up. I’ve been looking for a method to wrap my hair to where it wasn’t so big when i take it down so this helped me so much!!💕💕

Friend , I just did this method last night . YOU SNAPPED WITH THIS ONE !!! . It’s quicker than just banding, and for my length I only needed 4 hair ties .

I just discovered the banding method with scrunchies a couple of days ago. I normally braid my hair so I decided to take down my braids, rebraid it in four braids, and add the scrunchies in my hair yesterday. I’m going to keep it until Thursday. I can’t wait to see how it comes out. I’m definitely going to try your method next time. ❤

Ooo I'm going to try YOUR method. Like you I wear my hair tightly curled and want to retain definition and just add more body and length. Currently I do not twist and just stretch it using those big elastic hairbands...my method barely stretches my hair, takes a long time to remove the bands and sometimes I even have to cut out the bands when they get tangled in my tight curls 😧 Gonna try this tomorrow! Thank you so much!!🙏🏽

Oh no. You definitely shouldn’t have to cut them. Try silk scrunchies. Those might work better for you. Goodluck 💙

So I've tried this, and THIS is now my favorite way to stretch my hair! Thank you!! It's so much better than the long skinny bands. I twist first like recommended and then apply satin scrunchies, and it's great! They DON'T get stuck in my hair, they slide out easily and they can stretch my hair A LOT. Thank you so much for this tip!

Girllllll I’m so glad I came across this video thank you for sharing this I’ve been so frustrated with my curly hair lately this bed time hair set up is going to be a complete game changer I never even thought twice ever about stretching my curls out so much better my hair would dry and and some of the curls would be shorter some would be longer and it drove me crazy the bottom half of my head is a much looser curl with more definition verses the top is tighter but more frizz prone so this will make day and night changes in my hair routine thank you again subscribing now! 😊

Oooohh… my hair isn’t long enough yet to do this stretching method. I have cut mine in a bob. I have to just band mine. But this is a great idea for long hair.

Have you tried putting the cotton scarf over the silk or satin scarf, I do that sometime. JessCreations does this method as well . I will try this . I may have to to leave the front unstretched bc my front is more wavy than curly and I’m wandering it it will come out straight. Thank you for sharing 👍🏽

Do you let the hair dry some and then use the diffuser? I just shampooed my hair. I’m letting it air dry. Should I be diffusing it to dry it. I have a diffuser. What is the diffuser really for? lol

No I usually dry it straight after the wash. The diffuser is to keep your hair in place when blow drying. To prevent frizz & fly awayd

I would try a gel to get a more defined curl and make sure your hair is completely dry before stretching
