One shoot, two very opposite lighting styles, simple, right?! Right, when you are as experienced as Vanessa. The rest of us: Practice, practice. Really enjoyed seeing you choose your setups. Your favorite images were great, before and after post edits. Would really have liked to see a shot of the last setup where the light fixture on the post was actually in the frame near her beautiful face. I think that would have been special too. Thanks for sharing that shoot with us! ⭐x5

Hi Vanessa, another great video, thank you. Your model is stunningly beautiful. Seeing your proof raises a question I have about choosing photos. You have so many great photos of her. How do you narrow down your choices? I need to figure out a way to cull my images better during the editing process. Otherwise, I end up editing too many and it take me forever. The results are good, but it can overwhelm my clients. A video about what you look for when choosing which images to edit and which to let go would be helpful.

Can you get the same results with basic DSLR cameras?

Yes same lighting concepts apply. For the backlit photo with less expensive lenses you may get more glare/haze from the backlight

Good video but very risky the technique of the umbrella to darken, I thought that at any moment you would prick the eye of the model.

As soon as she said “reflector” I stop watching. All i want is a video with photographers challenging themselves with NATURAL LIGHT without using reflectors, cos for me using a prop to add light is the same has bringing a hand held LED or a strobe.
