Anyone who disliked this HELPFUL health benefit video is living a sad life. This helps your dog 100% and hes teaching you how to support them without further injuring or creating more pain.
My dog was dx with hip dysplasia recently and suddenly developed serious problems with walking. Seeing her like this is heartbreaking but I’m so glad to have found your video and will try the massages and movements today. I’d previously massaged her and it helped but wasn’t sure if I’m doing it right. Thanks 😊
I was watching this and had the phone propped against my dog’s belly while giving her a massage. Every time I stopped to make a ball of undercoat fur to the side for half a second, she would look up at me upset that I stopped. My dog is also very good motivated and takes her joint vitamins without issues. Thank you so much for this video. I’m a former massage therapist and this made me fall in love with the practice again. I may prefer to provide massage therapy for animal vs people these days. Pippy sure is peppy! 😆🥰
I like this vet. He seems so kind to animals. And seems to have a great attitude towards people. I give This vet 2 thumbs 👍👍 up. You’re alright doc. 👍👍🇺🇸
You probably dont give a shit but if you are stoned like me during the covid times then you can stream all the latest series on instaflixxer. Have been binge watching with my girlfriend recently xD
@@VeterinarySecrets Please may I ask you what you would do if your chihuahua was diagnosed with Hip dysplasia, patella instability and cruciux instability? Thankyou x
Came across this video, I have a 7-year-old German Shephard that I adopted 2 years ago. He was 155lbs at the time, with dieting and exercising we were able to bring him down to 133 lbs in a year. Just recently he started to cry and yelp after laying down too long. He also has a narrow stance, we did these movements to loosen him up some, not only did he enjoy it but immediately wanted to play once I was finished. Thanks!
Hi i came to this video this year 2023 as i just got new puppy for the first time and she is having the same issue i am relieved to see this video I immediately did the massage and will continue it please pray for my puppy her name is angel 🙏🙏 and since she came into my life i am happy
This is the cutest thing I’ve ever seen, I just love seeing Pippy actively trying to derail his video haha also this helped so much, my sweet old girl has hip dysplasia so really trying to find home solutions. Thank you!
Hello doctor , I am so thankful to you I have no words to express my feelings ! My dog leo a Labrador 12 years old has got hip dysplasia and bad arthritis The doctor had given up on him and asked me to put him down . This happened in September 2021 , I watched your videos my Freind recommended and started following it. And now as of today 20 th December 2021 My dog is not in pain anymore and is moving around going about his daily business and even the vet was surprised to see this !! He isn’t going for long walks but he seems to be happy and willing to play although he gets tired fast . My prayers and blessings are with you and your good work !! Thank you so much 🙏 🙏 Doctor I wanted to ask you that is it ok if I make him climb up the stairs with a little hand support from back once in a day . Please please do reply I don’t know what to do there are so many different views , l thought you would be the perfect person to reply since following you has done wonders for my dog .
I hope you still access this profile! Which exact videos did you watch? And what exactly was everything you did that helped him?? What the vet gave you and at home!

Extremely useful for me at the moment, thanks for sharing....I was so heartbroken to see my baby girl suffering from this damn arthritis, you have shown some light of hope....god bless you sir...pipi is so adorable 💓💓💓💓
@@VeterinarySecrets I got a Lab retriever puppy it's suffering with right hip dislocation problem can I solve it by giving any details of treatment... My puppy is 25days old male puppy Please kind request to help me to soutout this baby puppy problem and make it as normal puppy
I sped this video up the second time around and laughed out loud at Pippy such a wonderful soul. I love this channel. thank you Dr. Jones you are helping so many dogs and humans too to feel confident in helping their dogs be well, healthy and safe.♥
My dog is currently taking a tablet with glucosamine, msm, chrondoitin, hyaluric acid, and collagen type II. Coupled that with calcium and vit c +minerals. He's doing a bit better now and is in less pain. He can also walk better without lifting his leg all the time. He slow walk around 20 mins 2x a day. And I also massage him like this but with less force and sometimes puts ice pack on the painful part.
I use that type of tablet plus devils claw, turmeric, collagen, hemp and olive oil, herbal joint drops, spirulina, cruciferous vegetables and I give him laser treatment.
Hello, My dog is a German Shepherd mix at 70 pounds & 10 years old. She was having pain in the hind quarters, & intermittently dragging her Right Rear Leg. I watch a lot of Your videos, so I found an Herbal Tea that has Ginger & Turmeric. I brew it & have been adding it into her water, 2 ounces into 4 cups of water. She's So much better since giving this to her daily. Thank you So Much for All You do to prepare and make Your videos. May God Bless You and All Your Family ALWAYS and EVERYWHERE XOXOXO, Lois in Indiana.
Thank you so much Dr J! My beloved hound/lab just started having problems with his hip and I truly appreciate a holistic approach. I was already giving him turmeric and CBD, but now I will add in the chondroitin supplement, boswellia and the ROM, massage & acupressure.
I'm going through this with my dog right now. I've cried so much watching her not be able to walk. Our vet gave me shots to give her & it's working. She's already walking again but I can tell she's still not better. Vet said she had a pinched nerve. I wish there was a way for our animals to not get this at all.
Thank you so much for your help. I look forward to implementing these tips in attempt to ease my 12-year-old Golden Retriever’s pain. I’ve never cared for the NSAIDS route and I appreciate your more natural approach. A million thank yous!
My dog (12 years old border collie female) was diagnosed with arthritis in her hips 6.5 years ago. Shas been on Rejuvenate since and then other prescription for pain (I cant remember which one) as needed. It helped a lot until it was not enough. Then she has been on Galliprant daily for over a year, to treat her arthritis pain. The Galliprant was not enough anymore, so in June we did new X-Rays and the doctor added Gabapentin to her daily pain control prescription. I have not notice a difference, her hips often seem stiff after a long walk or longish (I am doing shorter ones) or time lying down. Now she is also limping with her front legs. The results came back with severe hip dyspepsia and some liver levels being a bit higher than we would want. She is overweight as a result of her lesser activity, and even though I have her on Royal Canine Satiety for over a year, giving her a cup less than suggested, and that she has always skipped meals, she only lost like 3 pounds. I started using CBD oil last week and has been magical for her pain, and I wan to add the other things you suggest here.. I wonder if I should go all natural and get rid of the pain prescriptions. I been massaging her, and made an appointment for water therapy, but they wont be able to evaluate her until Sept 1.
This is incredibly helpful. Thank you so much for sharing natural, alternative ways to heal dogs - your videos show that you value dogs as the deeply sentient and emotional beings that they are, not simply as animal patients. Pippie stole the show. :) Will try these hip exercises on our dog. Thanks a lot again for the wonderful work you do with speechless four-legged angels. God Bless.
Thank you from deep in my heart. I have two dogs that I walk several times a day. It is our life. lost all use of my legs 6 days ago. The first question I want to know is how I can still enjoy my life with my pups. You are an inspiration.
Im so sorry you lost the use of your legs. I have trouble walking without pain due to spinal arthritis, degenerative disc disease and scoliosis myself. Limited mobility. I purchased a sit or stand e-sccoter with 3 wheels and a retractable seat to walk my dogs. With my younger GSD having trouble walking right now, I haven't been able to walk him, even without the scooter . He falls down when he goes from concrete to grass and his carpal joints are not bending completely. He walks gingerly on all fours. Anyway, I hope you can find a good mobility scooter to continue to walk your dogs daily.
One night i got ready to take my dog out and he couldn't walk. All he could do was stand. I took him to his vet immediately and his vet did an xray and he has this. His Dr. Gave him a hip injection. I had to come and pick him back up after a couple of hours. He will not let me do too much to his back hips. He let me massage his hips just a little bit. II give him a hip joint treat every day. Thanks for this video. It was very helpful.
Caroline That might have been what was giving to my dog. A couple hours later and he was up and playing with his toys. You know we love our fur babies.
Very informative video. I have recently noticed my Lab/shep mix not wanting to get up right away in the mornings and yesterday getting on the couch seemed difficult. I suspect she may have some hip issues. We have her annual appointment next week. But this info is something I can use now and feel it will benefit her regardless of what's going on. Thanks for the info and will be watch your videos this weekend 😊
I use pressure points also on all my sisters dogs and my cats Chinese medicine been around for years Look at the longevity in their culture If animals could meditate I’d meditate with them
Pippi is not cooperating.... LOL. So cute. That’s the way it really is at home too....I chase my dogs around to heal them...😂 Thanks for another great video. I recommended it to a friend w/ a dog that has a hip injury....
There's mixed feelings on a new drug that came out but I got my dog on Librela for osteoarthritis and it has helped him. He's still not perfect but he's back to playing again in the evenings and it has helped him walk a little better too. We're still at the end of his life though (he will be 13) but trying to let him live his best life without pain as long as I can. It truly sucks to go through this but hang in there!!! Good luck!
Thank you so much, I love your videos. My dog Sam will get this treatment tomorrow. He's a 100 lb ridgeback and I have to help him get up to go outside else he won't get up however during the night he does get up to go to the water bowl or he gets up to go and lie down somewhere else etc so he can get up. But with us he just lies there, my husband says his nails need cutting and he has hair growing on his pads and he slips a lot on the floor, so I put those carpet runners for him to walk on. He's 12 years old and I think he has this this dysplasia or arthritis. My husband wants me to bring him in to have him put down but I'm undecided because he's eating and drinking and he's never been one to exercise much, I remember walking him with my grandson and Sam would just stop walking and lie down either in a ditch or right on the road, my grandson would have to pick him up and carry him, he used to be my daughters dog, and when she passed away I took her 3 dogs, a pittie, a ridgeback and a big black labrador who died 4 years ago. As for Sam, when he wants something during the day he starts barking and I have to go and get whatever he wants. I'm 79 and my husband is 84 and I was wondering if you had any suggestion to get him to get up? He takes joint vitamins, eats dry and wet food and drinks lots of fresh water.
Thank you for this video. It was very informative and you are a wonderful person for sharing these tips. Plus, Pippy is a awesome dog. Keep up the good work. I'm subscribed.
Thank you so much for sharing this information with us. My soon to be 12 year old Labrador is just beginning to have hip dysplasia. I came here to learn how to massage Henry. I can't wait to try your techniques on him tomorrow. I'd like to know how much food you recommend for him. He currently is on Victor Ultra High Performance, but I think it's putting weight on. I want to get him to a healthier weight so I will hopefully have him with me for many more years 🙏 thank you 😊
hi....im not good in english, but as soon as my 5yr old malshih got a hip sprain (i think), at first, it was really hard to touch the injured area as she will shout because of the pain, but slowly, i did the massage shown and relaxed the shivering muscles of the hind legs....then i gently did a little stretchings...the shivering stopped....great help here Doc..thanks for this wonderful video...
I didn't knew any of this but...just like the way the vet does it I'll do it all the time because my dog is always beside me when I'm at home...is just incredible, I do this like by default, like programmed to do it...
Thank you greatly for providing natural remedies for this health condition! It can be very hard to find this kind of information, so I am very thankful to have found it on your channel. Definitely subscribing👍 Love Pippy too, what a cutie. My corgi pup acts very similarly lol
I subscribed to your channel instantly..you are very caring and very educated and it. Shows..❤ you are very handsome too..uour personality is perfect ❤ your dog is beautiful and healthy and she loves you ❤ All good signs of your character
Showing us how to message the joint and leg really helps. I wasn't doing a very good job. I use acupressure message on my self so this is good to know how to proceed with my dog. The other things you mentioned I do also but the dosages are too low so I have to up those percentages up quite a bit. My problem is my dog is VERY picky and can pick up the scent of things even when I bury it in her favorite foods! Makes it hard to get them down her.
Pippy definitely needs her own YT channel..she's such a genuine, believable prop, lol..I totally have laughter tears rolling down my cheeks..thanks for the great info..I just noticed my 9yo yellow lab boy starting to kinda slip with his rear left leg when playin Frisbee..is this exercise bad for him? He doesn't appear to be in any pain..and, is swimming good therapy? Thx Dr J💜
Pippy isn’t getting massaged without a fight! Haha love the vid my dog started limping after an off leash walk through the woods. No signs of pain but she hasn’t been putting any pressure on her leg. I’ve been massaging it daily and she’s able to put some pressure on it. Thinking about taking her to the vet for an x ray today.
My 7 months Maramma diagnosed with Hip dispalicia yeasterday. I cried so much and I am so sad. He is so lovely and playful. It is so painful that it has to go through those things in a young age.
THANK YOU SO MUCH for creating this channel! Finally, REAL help for our pets!❤ Would all of this be safe for cats also? My 18 month old cat has arthritis from mid back through hip. The other has hip dysplasia. We have sound buttons that we record words on, So He actually "asks" me to "help" "ouch". The he comes and rolls over for me to massage him. I didn't know where he hurt. He showed me by pulling his legs up so I would massage his glutes. I went to 2 different veterinarians before they believed him and found it in an x-ray. 🤦🏼♀️ I got the buttons so that my pets could let me know if they are sick or in pain. Please let me know if these supplements are all safe for cats. Thank you.
Thank you so much for this video, my Pepe was diagnosed with sever Hyps displacia, both of the hips 7 days ago. Hes just almost 7 months mix golden retriver and labrador. And he fel a sleep while i was doing this. ❤️
Excellent video. Thanks for sharing your wisdom. I'd love to see an accompanying video on exercises to help strengthen the muscles/hip for dogs with this condition. Thank you.
First off just want to say a huge thanks for your excellent videos, they are so helpful. This one in particular will really benefit my 2 yr old labradoodle with hip dysplasia. She is on everything you mentioned except I have been making turmeric golden paste. My question is would curcumin be more effective than the paste? Many thanks
Your dog is beautiful ❤️ reminds me of my relationship with my dog Jobi❤ she is having hip trouble on and off .. she is 12 in dog yrs.. she loves me to massage her hip area like you are doing.. she only trusts me to do it.. I hate seeing her in pain.. what is best dog pain medicine? So she can sleep better at night,? ?
Dr Jones, love your posts and having a homeopathic approach. Can you do a post about elbow dysplasia too. Thank you so much for your dedication and being an advocate for pet owners.

Hello Dr. Jones, Hope you are doing great! My Dog has hip dysplasia and I am not sure what supplement to buy for him as I am in India. Please help my dog..
Pippy is a hoot! I have tried your other videos utilizing pressure points and they have been SO helpful. Thank you. Been using a TENS unit on my 170lb Bordeaux who has extreme hip dysplasia. Would love to hear your thoughts about TENS unit for treatment for dysplasia. Thank you for all you do!
THANKS SO MUCH for showing us, I have a Cane Corso and wasn't sure HOW to effectively massage. My dog has hip dysplasia and both knees have small cruciate tears....Can I still be doing this massage? Hes in Hydro therapy and starting Chiropractic and Laser therapy Tuesday.... We've gone surgery route and dont do it anymore....we've had several mastiffs with cruciate and hip trouble, and they heal up, scar tissue and do fine.... Your lovely dog is so playful, I loved how you handled her, She's beautiful, and I think you're wonderful. Keep showing us stuff like this.... Janine & Vito Giovanni
My dog have been to vet and many times and they have her on gabapentin 2 times a day and on galliprant. She now just drags her back leg. Im not really getting anything from vet. Besides keep on giving meds. I think now this is neurological. We have purpurchased cbd oil but have not started it due to being on these meds. The meds are purchased only thru the vet and are very expensive. She has been dragging her leg now for over 2 months. She has been to a specialist and was on norco but slept all day. She wasn't our dog. She doesn't seem anymore that it is painful but just drags her leg like its dead. Please give me any advice. I watch and love all your videos. And have been subscribed for years. Your only one i trust on line. Thank you, Sheri
Sheri Rae I understand how you feel! I have a lil Shih Tzu and she’s been dragging her back legs for a month too and it’s so heartbreaking. I will try to do these massages on her tomorrow and maybe some of the natural supplements to see if she gets to feel any better soon.
great info, i just ordered TerraMax Pro Best Hip and Joint Supplement hope this helps my boy,I will also try ur techniques of massage and pressure points, let me know your thoughts on the terramax Thanks!
