Hi Heidi! As a fellow old school herbalist from the 60’s I love these helps! I’d like to add another tip. I am a medical reflexologist on the national board, I had worked on thousands of clients in my practice over the decades. When it comes to carpal tunnel the problem is trigger points up in the neck from stress and the way people hold themselves, including the repetition of the hands. Every time I worked on releasing the muscles in the neck everyone would instantly have “new hands” and no more issues including trigger finger, frozen finger etc. The muscles in the neck are pulling on the muscles extending down into the wrists. They need released. Same with Plantar fasciitis.. the problems not in the foot it’s up in the soleus muscle. Hope that helps someone. Thank you Heidi for being a sister in Christ and doing one of the greatest works to help all of us here! Your an incredible treasure! 💕

Thank you SO very much for sharing this! It makes so much sense that the real issue is in a different part of the body and controlled by muscles and other nerve issues. Are massage therapists trained in any of this? For those of us living in very rural areas, it's difficult to find people with your skills. Definitely I'll be looking into reflexology now.🥰

Thank You Heidi for this recipe, I actually got this recipe before and have been using it on my carpal tunnel and also on my feet, it does a wonderful job on my pain, I will keep using it because I do not want surgery and I feel so confident that this is healing my problem over time.

Thank you so so much Heidi, I made a roller with this recipe, minus a couple oils I didn't have and it is working! I have been using it for about 2 weeks, just made a second roller. I have suffered for 3 years with severe carpal tunnel syndrome in my left and moderate CTS in my right for almost 3 years.

I can't wait to try this!! Thank you Heidi!! Would this also be helpful for neuropathy??
@HeidiVillegas
@HeidiVillegas 2 года назад
It may be, Donna! Herbalists usually look at the root cause of an issue as well as take a holistic view of the client (mental, spiritual, emotional, and of course, physical), so it's hard to say without a consultation. You could try it! One thing I might suggest is trying a rubefacient herb (one that brings circulation to the surface of the skin). For some types of neuropathy this can be helpful to an extent.

Thank you so much - I have carpal tunnel and I'm going to try this. I have some dried St. John's Wort - will that make an effective infused oil or do I need fresh herb?
@HeidiVillegas
@HeidiVillegas 2 года назад
I really prefer the fresh herb, but I've infused dried SJW before. I do believe it still has some benefits. If you can get the fresh herb, though, or purchase already-made SJW infused oil, it's much better. The essential oils are also very helpful all by themselves.

Heidi do you ever use DMSO to help the oils pass the skin barrier? Love your content (and love your hair!)
@HeidiVillegas
@HeidiVillegas Год назад
Hi, Annette! No, I haven't. I'm pretty far to the "natural" side in all things I do, so haven't considered DMSO. With that said, it might be helpful---although I've found most essential oils absorb just fine without it. There are contraindications to using DMSO, and it hasn't been completely studied. People who are taking blood thinners, sedatives, and steroids shouldn't use it. With all that said...it might be something to consider...Just be sure to get a complete health intake if working with individuals. :-) Thanks for the comment, too! :-)
@annette.1030
@annette.1030 Год назад
@@HeidiVillegas I hope you'll look into it! There's a wonderful book by all natural healer Amandha Vollmer (she owns YumNaturals Emporium) called "Healing with DMSO: The Complete Guide to Safe and Natural Treatments for Managing Pain, Inflammation, and Other Chronic Ailments with Dimethyl Sulfoxide" - she recommends a dose of 50% but you could always start small and work up as needed - even just a drop or 2 goes a long way with a carrier oil. It's a byproduct of trees that comes from wood pulp when manufacturing paper so it is indeed natural and SO helpful with essential oils. You're so helpful in your videos I had to at least share in return :)

@HeidiVillegas
@HeidiVillegas 2 года назад
Hi, Kate! There are around 200 species of Hypericum, and only a couple of them have the medicinal qualities. The most common of these is H. perforatum. You'll be able to identify if this may be the correct one by squeezing the buds. If you see a purple or red stain on your fingers, you're good to go! You can find out more about identifying and harvesting St. Johns wort in this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-w-5h-ZhUqVk.html And...how to infuse the oil if you find the correct species: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-r5I547hPQpI.html
