I have shorter hair and can still do this with my own hair or clip-ins or a hair piece or a half wig. That's the beauty of flat twists and buns. Everyone can do this style even with 1 inch of hair. even my short-shave sides can pull this off...maybe with more holding product but it still works. Watch the short hair 4c girls slick down their hair and attach a marley braid. Amazing.
I've been natural over 10 years and flat twist is something I've never accomplished. If I could flat twist and or do cornrows I would be tearing the game up.
