Nature All-You-Can in Northwest Cebu Town (Springs, White Beaches, Caves, Falls)

Located around 94 kilometers from Cebu City, Tabuelan is the youngest and newest municipality in Cebu. Once a barangay of Tuburan and only gained municipality status in 1953. Tabuelan is a must-visit town in Northwestern part of Cebu Province. This town is known for its beaches, springs, caves and rivers. In this video, I will show aerials of its quiet hills and streams. The Lugo Road where I drove smells so fresh and misty and my voice echoes as I vlogged on my way to Tabuelan. Springs are also a popular destination among locals. I swam in Gumbang Spring but there are other springs in Barangay Bongon like Liki Spring and Kantakuyan Spring. The clearest water I have seen in Cebu so far. I also toured poblacion area (Town Plaza and public market) and visited the busy Tabuelan Port which is a RoRo Port with trips to Escalante in Negros Occidental. Also, check out the latest in Tabuelan's public beach- Maravilla. I also flew my drone there. What an epic shots I got. Lastly, I went for a short dip in Olivo River to wash my slippers of sand and salt from Maravilla Beach. So many drone shots including the historical Batawang River (Bongon River). The Cebuano provincial tourism office should heavily promote Tabuelan for its beautiful natural attractions because the local officials seem clueless about the potential of their town's natural beauty. The Cebu provincial government and its provincial tourism officials should talk to all town local officials in Cebu to come up with a comprehensive database on all of the natural attractions in all towns and cities of Cebu and develop them just like what other towns in Cebu have done like Badian, Moalboal, Oslob, Alegria, Dalaguete, etc. Tabuelan is indeed a hidden gem that Cebu provincial government should look into to unleash its tourism potential.

WHOA, slow down a little. There is no need to attract TOO MANY TOURISTS to Tubuelan, for it is perfect just the way it is and tourists will just ruin it. However, i must admit that i would like to be one of those tourists visiting Tubuelan someday, and i hope that it will not be changed before i get there. Just me being selfish, i guess. Amping (*_*)

I would also love to see our natural attractions properly cared by keeping it unspoiled and without too many structures built around and in the area. Except for durable roads and the likes. 🤔 To make it safer and easier for tourists to visit the attraction. 👌

I know about Inambakan falls, then there's Tumalog in Oslob which is one of the most picturesque, but I wasn't even aware of this place til' now. Mountains, beaches and waterfalls, all within driving distance to a metropolis, Cebu is so well rounded it's mindblowing. P.S : Since you did this, would definitely love to see a full Kawasan canyoneering video when they're done rehabilitating the place.

I have done this canyoneering many times when I was younger without safety gears. In 2021, I jumped Cambais and Cancalanog. I sprained my collar bone which made me realize that it is not advisable anymore to an almost 50ish guy. Hahahaha 😂😂 For sure I will vlog in those towns soon but I can't promise to do full canyoneering. 😂😂🤣🤣 Thanks a lot! 🙏🫡

Tabuelan is a hidden paradise. The only drawback is its accessibility. But I think it's worth it.

I don't think accessibility is a problem. As you can see in this video, the highway connecting Tabuelan from the eastern side of Cebu thru Sogod is well-paved and in excellent condition. The real problem really lies on the local government officials. They don't seem to have a clue as to how beautiful their town is. Look at those gorgeous and breathtaking natural attractions such as that long white sandy beach, the cold springs, the lush jungle, the clear streams, etc. They could have invited investors to build resorts on that very long stretch of white sandy beach. In fact, it is more beautiful than the beach in Alona in Panglao, Bohol. Just make the beach stay public and prohibit resort owners to build any sort of 'fencing' their beachfront. Just like in Santa Fe in Bantayan where the beach remains accessible to all. I was surprised how beautiful Tabuelan is, and I thank Gawens for his selfless effort to cover Tabuelan town in his quest to promote Cebu's towns and cities.

It's very accessible from Cebu,City via Transcentral highway passsing through the towns of Balamban,Asturias and Tuburan which is it's original mothertown,Naga-Uling road passing the same towns and Lugo road .

If you would like to go to these springs in Tabuelan, it is advisable to go to Barangay Bongon to log your names first. If there would be fees, just minimal to nothing at all. 😁 Both belong to Bongon as both are just a few meters away. 🙂
