I have this aesthetic problem with my plants all the time when i trim them, get the roots out and plant the tops is kinda to much work, but sure the best solution. 👍

I'm new to this hobby and always looking for different options. From I've seen most on YT is people trimming the tops and then just replanting the cut stems to get the nice dense, full look. Pulling the entire plant to just replant the top seems like added work and the stem doesn't get "bushy". The stems will fork from where you last cut giving a fuller look won't it?

Hi Joel! It was interesting what you said about removing the existing growth on plants you have received from another tank / setup. I just bought a new anubias from a store and planted it in my tank. Based on what you are saying, should I cut off all of the top 60% of existing leaves and replant the leaves? Thanks for all your videos and great content man!

Love the new style and extremely helpful! How long have you been keeping this scape? I see a lot of talk about rescaping and restarting a system with new substrate each year or so. Curious what you do to keep it so clean!

I had stones in my small aquarium and it seemed to damage the roots when trying to plant them.

Good video. Just not sure about the human adaptation comparison. I agree it will take me time to adapt if I move from Florida to Alaska. However, if I get frostbite, I don’t cut off my hand because it was raised in Florida. 😂

What do you think they do to frostbite limbs? They cut them off. It's not always people from Florida, though likely a higher percentage.

I don't know if it helps or hurts, but after making a cut I've always removed some of the bottom leaves near the cut before replanting.

Haven't seen it helping or hurting, certainly makes it easier to plant! So, I remove.

When you have a bank full of money such a strategy might be an opinion i guess whereas most that dont would probably opt to propagate from cuttings from the offset.....!
