Here's what I found online. What is a bear's favorite food? Fruit, nuts, honey and other plant parts are favorites of bear. They also eat insects and sometimes fish, but most of their food comes from plants. Bears have an excel- lent sense of smell, and can easily find food using their noses. Bears are attracted by smells, and almost everything smells like food to a bear!

I was wondering what he was digging up. Probably grubs, too. Much easier to pursue than those two cows grazing in the background. They didn't look terribly worried there was a grizzly nearby.

Always take to time to watch and listen what Judith Lehmberg has captured in her video recordings. Beautiful sight and sounds of nature. Merlin ID actually heard 8 birds, Dark-eyed Junco, American Robin, Common Raven, Yellow-rumped Warbler, Red-breasted Nuthatch, White-crowned Sparrow, Virginia Rail and Red-tailed Hawk. Fabulous way to spend my Sunday. Thank You, Judy

Peaceful, unless you live and ranch here in the Mtns of Montana, and these mankillers are around. Keep them in the National Parks and Federal Lands. If they come onto private property it should be the owner's right to deal with them as they see fit.

❤As life should be, In Balance. No climate change if not for human greed
@jonathanstoffregen390

There is always climate change. That is part of the normal process and cycle of things. Our tropical Ages and Ice Ages of the past are evidence of that being the case. What folks object to is the unnatural exacerbation of climate change wherein the pace of the change is greatly accelerated over what would otherwise be occurring due to human manipulation of the environment. A few geological epochs from now, barring a cataclysmic event, the Earth will still be around, and life will still be thriving on it. The only thing we can say for certainty about that future is that it will be different, probably vastly so, from the world we live in now. As well, unnatural human-caused climate fluctuations will long since have returned to normal. Humanity may or may not be around at that point. Most other lineages of life will have undergone significant transformation as well if the past is any guide for what is to come. That would be the case whether we were affecting the climate right now or not. In short, Life will go on. We are changing some specifics about that future, but it will go on. Whether Humanity persists into that future, only time will tell.

I have seen 14 grizzlies in this same meadow. It's time to delist them. I'm not saying we shouldn't have them but the population is getting too big for the area. As with every species, management is key. Unless you live with them in your backyard every day you don't understand the impact.
