NATURE 'I'm So Pretty' Reaction 

I LOVE Nature already even after just a few songs - I'm really excited to see where they go, and I really hope they keep gaining popularity. Leaf fighting!

i feel validated cuz when i first heard it i was like "this sound is so fresh and strange for a kpop song" (and i mean that in the best way possible cuz i LOVEEEEE the song) but im happy im not the only one caught off guard by this song

I think the song works very well since that trumpet and drum line are practically constant throughout, with the bridge and outro being the only majorly different sections

I love this song alot! I love songs that have many different sections and melodys cus then it's stays exciting. And imo all the parts went really well with each other! The bridge is definitly my favorite part!! Loved this reactionnn!!

It's complicated but I feel like the repeated parts tie it together without actually becoming, well, *repetitive*. I enjoyed it and nothing interrupted me jamming out--idk if the beats worked together or what, but It didn't feel like multiple entirely different songs awkwardly superglued together the way I Got a Boy does. It felt bouncy and scattered and a little ADHD but it took me along for the ride. Some frankensongs leave me feeling abused and resentful like I got dragged behind a bus in the pursuit of the songwriter being ''''edgy''' and '''experimental'''--this felt more like being dragged off by the hand by a manic pixie dream girl. And I am here for it.

I really loved this song!! The jazzy chords with the bright big band parts made it stand out a lot of me! I actually didn't feel as confused about the form: I saw it as Intro, first verses alternated with the section used also as the post-chorus, then there's the pre-chorus (short weird part), chorus, post chorus, then second verses with new material, pre-chorus again, chorus, post-chorus, bridge, chorus and post-chorus! I think it all went together great, more than Zimzalabim (which I also loved) but the way the added small new things and made it interesting made me fall in love with the song!

I think it works together in a weird way. When I first heard it, it was a lot, but after hearing it a few times it grows on you in the best way possible. I was the same with Zimzalabim (which is now one of my fav RV title tracks and probably my fav album from them).

Watching this back after Natures recent return to the scene fills me with so much happiness. Nature has grown so much as a group but still kept the goofy vibe and I love that.

This MV popped into my recommended, and I had been meaning to get into Nature but hadn’t. So I watched it and I was obsessed!!!!! It might be one of my fave girl group releases this year!! I also got to check out their other songs and I love them and their way of trying different styles!! (And I cannot get the B part out of my head now lmao)

So the brass, bass and piano that you were hearing comes from 60/70's Latin jazz salsa. Check out Pete Rodriguez' Borinquenos and you'll hear it. The visuals features South American jungle imagery and that white room they dance in has a Miami Vice feel. So overall the song is very Latin American themed. I love their musical concept of taking older genres and infusing them, just like how You'll Be Mine had that James Brown bass funk riff.

I love this song! I’m surprised you found it confusing, I would say it goes intro, V1, Pre-Cho(no no no part), Chorus 1, Chorus 2 (Nan neomu yeoppo part), V2, Pre-Cho, C1, C2, Bridge, C1, C2, the repeating part, and then the ending. Even though they singing part of the chorus during the verses they’re not really “singing” it, ya know? They’re just referencing it. I think all the parts flow really well together and make the song sound exciting! This is the first song I’ve heard from them and I’m interested to hear their other songs!

Definitely an interesting audio experience. I’m with you and still not sure how I feel about the song, although I’m leaning more towards positive. To me, Zimzalabim was bold and brash with its weirdness and showcased it with definitive Red Velvet bold and brash and weird visuals. This MV has the audio weirdness down, but the MV was pretty standard for me. (I loved Zimzalabim, in case you were wondering.) Will definitely check this group out in the future. on the first few listens, the song was a *lot*, but not necessarily in a bad way. (kind of like zimzalabim was) I loved that I couldn't predict where it'd go and that it kept surprising me. I really like it and it's kind of addicting after a while. Thank you for your reactions!! :D

I really like this song lol I think Zimzalabim just has more unique/crazy sounds but they’re both very different I suppose you can put it And yeah this song has many sections I think the big part is the little chorus part in the verses lol

I would call the B section the REFRAIN and the D the CHORUS. Not sure if they are different technically, but I always saw REFRAINS as short sections that are repeated almost as often as the CHORUS, but not as full energy as a full CHORUS would be.

I've been loving Nature's releases but given that several of their songs have been done by songwriters and composers who've also worked on Red Velvet tracks, and I've yet to not enjoy an RV release (including ZimZalaBim), it's probably indicative that I actually like any similarities in stylistic choices made in their music. Plus, I love IGAB, so I probably just have an affinity for songs with seemingly odd mixes of sections and sounds.

Its very messy but keeps your ear active and thats a fun thing to listen to, that steady expectation is a cool thing

When i first heard this song i was like "Yeap, Umu will love this and go nuts about it" xD Theory confirmed. I honestly love this song, this latin vibe works so well with the the more heavy "drop" section which is so catchy. To me Zimzalabim is wayyy more "messy" and jarring with its changes that this. To me the verses work so well together and the little bits in between the chorus/verses are making this song so refreshing. The bridge is the only thing that feels like "omg wtf". Zimzalabim's sections are more "clear" but the changes are way more in your face. This song to me seems cohesive, idk.
