YeeFit Gear & Review - This is my first look and initial impressions of the #Naturehike Cloud Wing 2 which I purchased on AliExpress. I bought a cloud peak 2 at collins outdoors a month ago, the price is much cheaper than amazon, used it 3 times and everything is good. Naturehike gear has always been a good budget option

Could you add your opinion when you get the tent? I'm interested how the seams are done? Usually taped for waterproofing. Also it would be good to know your opinion about the zippers?

That extra toggle you found inside could make a big difference in the summertime.

From experience with the original Cloud 2UP I would be wary about the single ridge pole at the back. I am unsure about the overall stability.

Thanks for the comment, I tested it in high winds and rain. If staked out properly and using the extra guylines I believe it is pretty stable.

Fun fact: the gold 10D version is 3cm wider at the widest point, and 5cm wider at the foot end. It looks like either they only made the one footprint despite the different sizing, or they sent you the wrong footprint 😅

Thank you for the fun fact, Yeah the footprint on the version I received is a little larger so I had to tuck it under the tent at the foot end. Thanks for the feedback, happy holidays! 😊

@6:17 unless i missed it, please do share how one might use as few stakes as possible if it is not windy & like to shave some weight.

You really only need 4-6 stakes to setup the tent. 2 up front in the vestibule. 2 stakes in the back and 2 stakes on the side to pull the rain fly out.

Summer tent for sure and looks great. Only question that comes to mind is how does it hold rain and bit of wind?

Thanks for the comment, I will be testing it out next year and will report back on the durability through wind and rain. I will report back once I have put it through it's paces.

@@DarrenYee Can you please check if the seams are taped for waterproof? Do the zippers have any markings? Like YKK? Can you give some idea if you think the zippers are good quality?

Hi Paul, Yes the seams are taped and the corners are re-enforced on the bath tub floor. You may want to seam seal the tent for better water proofing. I also double checked and made sure the rain fly is also seam taped. The zippers are small and light weight with no markings, which have a piece of cordage loop instead of a pull tab. The zippers seem to work well and are double stitched sewn, only time will tell in regards to durability.

@@DarrenYee Thanks. Taped seams is important. I was pretty sure this was the case. Just wanted a confirmation. I found on other review for Naturehike Vik 2 and that claimed to have YKK zippers. It would be a good guess that all their zippers come from the same manufacturer. But you can never be sure with budget tents. I just ordered this. I got my questions almost answered and your review helped a lot. Thanks.

@@DarrenYeehey! Did you actually test it out? What’s your opinion on it so far? Do you actually get condensation at the Footend or is it a non issue?

Have you ever set it up in the windy area? See if this model could withstand against strong wind especially, the multi-hook positions.

@@DarrenYee Nice Darren !! it's surely tough enough to stay in rain and high winds. Wanna get one for myself too, probably the yellow color at approx $20 higher than this blue tone. Preparing to go camping end of the year, only a couple of months we can expect nice cool air in the North of Thailand ^^

I was in the same boat. I chose the wing 2 because of its unique design and weight. If you prefer a full free standing tent with a side door instead of a front door, rectangle footprint, single skin then go for the vik 2. If you just looking for a single skin no free standing tent. I would recommend the 3F UL Lanshan 1 Pro.

I currently have a cloud up 2. I found a cloud wing 2 online but it doesn't come with a mat. Do you think my cloud up 2 mat will fit just fine?

Thanks for the comment. Probably, You will have to check the dimensions because the footprint (mat) does taper at the bottom. Usually you want the foot print slightly smaller than your bathtub floor, So you could just stuff it under the tent if your Cloud Up 2 foot print is larger. Another option is to cut a custom piece of tyvek or polycro to fit the cloud wing 2 tent.

I bought the yellow one. My biggest problem is "The tent always inflates the air makes it's so hard to fold it and put it back in the bag 😢😢😢 Because of that it consumes a lot more space in my Knapsack 😢😢😢 How have you overcome this painpoint???

Hi thanks for the question, I usually leave the zipper on the door a little open. That way, when I fold and roll or stuff my tent back in the sack. It pushes all the air out when I pack it back up into the stuff sack. Make sure you fold, roll, or stuff towards the door that way aire doesn't get trapped. Hi, great review! Did I miss something or the weight is 200gr less when you weighted everything packed together? I love how this model looks, really stylish, though I think I will go for the NH Spider 1 (bikepacking tent). Thoughts? Thanks.

Thank you, In comparison with the NH Spider 1. The Spider 1 is about .5 lbs heavier. I like the side entry, but the head space seems a little narrow. @martinazevedo3747 The included ground sheet/mat weights 200 grams. The tent, poles, stakes weight 1500g. You probably can shave off some grams with taking less stakes and no ground sheet because it is semi freestanding already.

Yeah I would say this tent is for someone under 6 feet. Unless you use it as a 1p tent and lay diagonal it might work. Thanks for the comment

Compared to other NAturehike Tents this seems not to be that well made. The space inside looks much less compared to other models, esp. speaking of using it for 2 persons. Just from seeing it I would think that there are much better options for the buck.

Thanks for watching! Actually this tent is very well made, quality wise I didn't see any major defects or loose threads. I can attest that the space inside is limited and is not a true two person tent, You can NOT put two 25 inch wide pads inside and most of your gear will live in the vestibule. I would say this compares with the Cloud Up 2 person, but with better versatility and head room. Thanks for the comment, let me know what other tents you have been looking at?

@@DarrenYee I am about to decide for the Mongar 2 probably. I'm currently using a lanshan 2 pro but for my Norway trip on rocky area I need a free standing or semi-free standing tent.

@@Moehre01 The Mongar 2 is a great option especially the 15D version, I also looked at that tent and it seems like there are a lot of copy cat versions out there. I also saw this one on Amazon "AceHikes"www.amazon.com/dp/B097DFPMNG/?coliid=I1RZP6OTZLTGH6&colid=16GPS0HYX10J9&psc=0&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it $60 for the 2 person $80 for the 3 person. Not sure of the quality, but for the price, It might be worth trying.
