People don't talk much about the Village market but it's actually one of the earlier malls that was built in the 90s I think and continues to upscale with the times. I love Village Market Mall. And absolutely, that's just how we African women were raised and taught by our moms at an early age how to let men lead even by watching them do it themselves. You are correct. Most African women let men lead. There is a small percentage of them today that has been Westernized so they don't do much of that but the majority do. I am one of the old-school African women who let men lead too. Been living in the States for over 15 years and that hasn't changed still. I guess it was ingrained in me since my childhood days back in Kenya. The A American guy am now dating is hooked on my cultural ways of letting him lead and at first he was pleasantly surprised and is getting used to it and loving it. So far so good. Still very new. :)

That's how we are raised. We are not out to compete with men, and though African women are very hard working, as u may have seen, we still enjoy being taken care off. A man is a man and a woman us a woman, period!
