We're told we have to do as we're told but surely Sometimes you have to be a little bit naughty. Just because you find that life's not fair it Doesn't mean that you just have to grin and bear it If you always take it on the chin and wear it Nothing will change. What really annoys me - Everybody thinks that Broadway started the spoken verse but it was actually WEST END because 1. Matilda went to the West End before Broadway and 2. In the original West End recordings of Naughty ( such as at the Olivier's with Cleo Demetriou, Kerry Ingram, Sophia Kiely and Eleanor Worthington-Cox)
I just found out that Stratford did do the spoken verse!! You can find recordings of both of them singing with the spoken verse on RU-vid (Josie Griffiths and Adrianna Bertola). Kerry Ingram was West End as well so she would have learnt it anyway.

in the actual show, they have a pit of musicians playing live. This might be from the jr version or a version made for community theatre where they don’t have a pit.
