I mean they did massively improve them as well. The mod ground armies were nowhere near this good.

Stealth! I think this is like the 4th or 5th series ive watched from you. Its really good coming across your content again. Please continue the series and do a turtle and icbm obliteration game play. To make the gameplay longer, instead of nukes, use chemical/bio weapons. Id love to see a full turtle defensive and missle aggressive gameplay from the NA front

the simplicity of the original DEFCON set around the USA's Nuclear Triad was an amazing game for it's time. ICBM stepped things up well without losing the gameplay feel of the original. Mods showed just how much more potential another upgrade could produce including ground forces. I haven't played the beta of ICBM: Escalation but I'm very excited for the release next month!

they need to build a Civ game that is based more on tech and war with the only way to win is conquest or domination. perhaps starting in the medieval period.

SSMs are Surface to Surface missiles :3 The EW aircraft is also referring to the A-6 Intruder (now EA-18 I think) electronic warfare craft.

The EW A-6 was the EA-6B. You're thinking of the FA-18 Wild Weasel.

I love this game with the nuclear aspect removed. Much longer slog when conventional warfare only. Once the uranium starts flying, everyone loses....

The command bunker is quite strong actually from other vods. You pop the defcon level when things go hot and you loose significantly less population.

Stealth tunnel visions so much he could be mistaken for a damn moleman. Doesn't help when he has catastrophic lapses in judgment like not bothering to run his Atlantic carrier group along the gulf coast to actually search things. The 7 division disaster would have been completely avoided if he had just bothered to send his carrier south first before heading to Cuba. Another major failure was not building more divisions the moment the war started, since even if he didn't intend to war at 10min, the AI did and he should have responded accordingly. Lastly, he should have bought 4.5gen air with the better ships tech in the pregame. This entire run is about naval by his declaration. Naval means carriers, why in gods name did he drop the ball and shortchange his carriers if that is what this run was supposed to be based around.

Im definitely going to do a world conquest when i get this game. Disable all world ending weapons so it dosnt end early and invade everyone with ground forces and amphibous landings. Gunna be so much fun

at 59:47 Russia is in an Alliance with Central America and Sub-Saharan Africa, and you shared intel, so purple Africa sent nukes to undefended cities, you can see them gain points. which is a cool feature, as you can essentially walk into a trap by doing carelss treaties.

As someone who loved the first game and played it for a long time with the mods, I saw a few shortcomings, for example, it's sad that they still use the same sound effects as in the first game. I hope they change it because after a while it becomes too repetitive. Secondly, a flag can be added to the factions, representing only with color reduces realism. I hope improvements have been made with the AI. It was annoying when the AI broke the alliance for no reason. Finally, what would it be like if they replaced the units with a real coating? It would definitely cause optimization problems, but I think it's worth a try. I will be eagerly awaiting its release..

you get planes with the carrier in ICBM 1 2 bombers 5 fighters and you get planes when producing an airbase as well

Man this game plays way to fast. Is there a way to slow it down? Jets move so fast it’s silly. Missiles travel almost as fast as the satellites do

yes you can slow things to a crawl to micromanage which is a necessity for winning battles. using fighters as cannon fodder and synchronizing attacks is essential to overwhelm the opponents defenses. like in DEFCON you timed your subs, icbms and bombers to arrive simultaneously.
