About the Speaker
Dr. Emel Celiker Guler is a Cardiologist and board-certified Cardiac Imaging Specialist, with expertise in advanced cardiac imaging modalities including Cardiac PET, Nuclear Cardiology, Cardiac CT, and Cardiac MRI. She earned her Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Istanbul University School of Medicine Cerrahpasa Medical Faculty and completed her cardiology training at Dr. Siyami Ersek Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery Training and Research Hospital in Istanbul, Turkey.
She pursued further specialization through a Clinical and Research Fellowship at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute in Canada, where she gained comprehensive training in advanced cardiac imaging techniques (Level 3). She has contributed to cardiac imaging with publications in peer-reviewed journals and active participation in academic conferences and presentations.
Dr. Celiker Guler served as a cardiac imaging specialist at Koc University Hospital in Istanbul, Turkey. Currently, her research at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute focuses on the development and validation of new imaging methods for the evaluation of cardiovascular disease and its treatment.
