That moment between breathing in and breathing out is also when you squeeze the trigger target shooting. There's something in that natural pause that's truly a natural pause. For just a second, we can wait. Without distress or discomfort and be present in that moment. I'm certain there are moments you shared with Sarah that nobody knows about. It's ok if it hurts too much to look at that right now but there's a whole world of just the two of you that only the two of you shared. One day, it may comfort you more than it distresses you to visit it. When I got hurt on active duty, my whole life was totally destroyed and I hadn't even hit my 30s. At one point, discussions were had about terminal sedation in hospice. I will never again be what I was. It's just not gonna happen. And the life I had was totally ripped away from me but the life I have now, with all the aches and pains and grief and unknown, is still pretty fantastic. Today, I can look back on all of the whatnot and still appreciate how good my life is today. Even though I'm up messing around online looking for camping gear when I really should have gone to bed but I fight sleep like a toddler 😅 I tell my son that death is a necessary part of life because it's death that makes birth possible. It makes room for new people, new experiences, new us's. Who you were with Sarah died with Sarah, but a you without Sarah is being born and with that birth, there's a world of possibility opening up to you. You're a glass half full kind of guy so I don't think you'll take it wrong. The end of Sarah's story is not the end of yours. And the thing is, Sarah's death is really not the end of her story. Not as long as you and your children live adding too it. The whole "two become one flesh" is also literal and can't be undone. Goodnight Josh...

Josh, you seem like your growing so much in your grief journey! I know it wears you out going to the grief sessions. But, I’m really enjoying hearing about things you’ve done and learned in the group. You’re giving me some things to really think about! 😊 I know you’ve mentioned about being so lonely and finding a new person one day. I really hope no one makes you feel bad about dating, etc. I’m older than you and have dated some. I’ve not met anyone that I’ve been that interested in. I was with my husband since we were 20! He was a VERY special person and finding someone to measure up to him, is not that easy! I think it may concern friends and family when we talk about being lonely and searching. Some people think that they will fix the loneliness just by finding “somebody”. I’ve seen it happen plenty of times. It’s just not ever that simple. I know you’ve got a good head on your shoulders! You won’t just run out and try to fill the loneliness void without LOTS of considerations. After you’ve been through what you have, and with having children, there are MANY things to consider. Think of finding someone else like you did when you met Sarah. Just think more about looking for a friend, who enjoys the same things you do in life. That’s why you and Sarah made such a good match! ❤ People do get concerned when they hear someone just talking about being so lonely. Hey! And, trust you me, I DO understand the loneliness thing! It is just HORRIBLE! We just always have to be particular, no matter how old we are or the circumstances. 😬 You are doing so well, and are doing such a great job with the kids and life!!! Sarah is smiling on you everyday! 😃❤️ Good Luck!

Very interesting and deep as always Josh. Let me tell you that i see you better than before. Mindfuness which i prefer to call meditation helps me a lot. It is great that you have an analytical mind and at the same time very emotional and knowing how to deal and feel your emotions. I share the first part but i,m not in the decond one. Apart from the grieve, you are dealing with your kids grieving many practical things that you didn,t before. It doesn,t help you to function like before. Focusing is the goal and you need time. You will not be the same, you,ll be better. Forgive if i,m saying things that i shouln,t. My intention is the best and i,m being honest like i would do with a friend who you are. Lots of love ❤❤❤

Ok, so my super cool 💡 for you is this... Journaling AND making your 'story' an animated book.... I'm guessing you or someone you know could turn pics of Sarah into animated/cartoon type people. Betcha this would a hit. Ok, go to work. Mull.

I understand what you're saying about the effects of grief on your brain ... time is on your side, you're doing amazing... you said it's Ok to ask questions, so out of curiosity, I really like your daughter's name. Is there a story about how you named your children? Best wishes ...
@LivingLighterLovingLife
@LivingLighterLovingLife 8 месяцев назад
Rey was going to be named Aisling (pronounced Ashling or Ayz-Lin) we both loved the name, then we watched, at the time, the newest Star Wars and Rey was a strong, bad ass woman, and we loved the name. But I’m not fond of my uncle middle name Ray, so we finished it with a softer tone Lah, giving us Reylah. Braedan was the product of searching through all of the Irish boy names, and a desire to find something unique, and spelled different than most American spellings but is considered an American adaptation of the Irish name, but the meanings of Brave and Wise are attached to the name. Brave was fitting as it took years to conceive him, and a lot of pain through miscarriages. Wise felt appropriate, and he has lived up to both well beyond his years. ❤️‍🩹🥰 Amelia was named by her biological name. But Reylah gave her the nickname “Ma” which is primarily what we call her now. Loved hearing Sarah call her Ma, not sure why, think it was just the song tone of her voice. 🎶 Always melodic.

@@LivingLighterLovingLife Our oldest son, Shawn Patrick, named his son Desmond, which people don't often recognize as an Irish name ... love the story of how your children's names came to be. Thanks for sharing!!
