The Asian-American group of people living in the USA is analyzed in this video. The disparities among the different Asian American communities are highlighted, and the problem of lumping these disparate communities into one class of people for diversity monitoring in university, corporate, and government hiring is analyzed. The source of some of the bias experienced by Asians in the USA is studied. It is pointed out that Asian Americans are a model minority in the US, but this itself sometimes handicaps their growth and career prospects.

At the end of the video the professor mentioned that "this is my take" However, I don't really think that you offered a point of view in this video. It seems like a description of the various Asian groups and what description that they *may* face if he had opinionated it by saying "i think this is bad and we should look at everyone without any racial bias or ethnic bias", then I would agree that it would be considered as a "take"

I think classifying people into groups, a favourite task of social science people can have negative consequence. Like in affirmative action Asians are removed in most Ivy League us universities but there are many who come from disadvantaged backgrounds

In case I don't clear the GRE verbal cutoff for PhD in some US universities, can that shortcoming be compensated if the other areas are remarkable?

If GRE is mandatory then you need to clear the cutoff if that is mentioned. Otherwise you should apply to the universities which do not need GRE. There are many such universities. Also give GRE before applying so you know your score. Try to improve your vocabulary. This video series will help you.
