Just wanted to point out the reason for using a stand alone GPS. It works everywhere all the time and doesn't cost anything to operate...This could easily be swapped out for a GPS enabled pad/tablet of your choice but wouldn't be as easy to mount to the shaft. There are several free and paid Nav apps available now. As well you can use Google Maps offline with a little setup while in network range. Thanks for Watching!

I put a 3.5 degree angle on the phone pocket yesterday which put the phone at 0 degrees and made the U even deeper. Much to my surprise is just stays there, no clip required!
Hello Burton :) Have you considered selling those, or a starter kit with just the plates. I am very very interested in buying one, I can see a lot of time and effort along with the overhead of machinery used to make them. I would definitely pay to support U.S. based small businesses over cheap imported stuff. Look up Rokform for phone cases and mounting, they have magnetic with Roklock cases, the best customer service I have ever dealt with and a no hassle warranty. As a field service Tech I have used a lot of different protective cases, this is the best one that has worked for me for the last 5 yrs.
I bought my van off the lot at the end of the year with a lot of rebates. That's pretty much the only option (Sync3, I have Sync2) that I wanted but couldn't find. That's alright, I got the rare factory upgraded floor instead.

The 2020 Transit dash is reconfigured and appears to be more phone friendly if you get the big screen model. You get a nice relieved area on top of the dash to charge your phone but it lays flat on the dash out of sight. Appears you still can't use your phone for navigation. If you have the entry level radio your in the same boat that I was in...
