Never seen that side of mazatlan before. Whenever we’re in port there, we get off the ship and take a taxi to Zona Dorada/El Dorado where all the hotels and shops are at. We usually just get a day pass for the an all inclusive hotel and spend the day there. Beach access and it’s safe and beautiful. Just make sure to schedule a cap back as it is a 20 min drive from port.

Excellent video! Your information about everything is spot on! I'm one of the Mazatlán Tourist Aide Volunteers (aka 'blue shirts') that you'll often find along the blue line - we were taking a little break last summer when your ship was in port, but most people will encounter at least one of us if they walk the blue line. I will have to say I'm impressed at what you did - especially on a hot summer day! I frequently walk from the cruise terminal to the waterfront, up the hill, and down into Olas Altas (it's 'Altas', not 'Atlas' - but I'll give you that one!) and know what a workout it is, and that doesn't inlcude a jaunt up el Faro! Again - thanks for the great video that has some really good info!

Wow that was brave! Walking to the beach looked so empty and scary and I can't imagine doing all that walking in the heat! Y'all are battle tested to go on the Amazing Race lol!

Yes it was very hot. But such a wonderful day! I don't think I could handle the bungee jumping and skydiving for Amazing Race. 😂

Yes, we had a wonderful time and would do it again. It was too hot for how much walking we did so next time we might cut out some of it with taxis especially if it's that hot.

I just asked this question too! But I got my answer here. :) we love warm water and hot weather for snorkeling. I think we will have tougher seas and colder temps when we cruise in February! Thanks for sharing these vlogs. They are so fun to see and you guys are so sweet.

Did you exchange your American dollars for pesos? I am doing this cruise solo in January and I am hoping it is safe... maybe I can find someone on board who wants to climb the lighthouse with me...

The lighthouse was a ton of fun! We paid in US dollars which is maybe not the best exchange rate but we didn't buy very much. Commonly we would get pesos as change. We tried to take small bills so we don't get too many pesos back. Enjoy your cruise and thanks for watching! ☀️🌴🛳️
