For those curious: Milbanke SS; 1296 ton, 243ft, beam of 31ft, draught of 18ft, British Steamer, sunk 28th July 1874 in collision with the Hankow 14 died. Was carrying a cargo of zinc.
That’s a brilliant app. I can see where your friend the skipper is coming from tho. But for small boat owners and kayak fishermen it takes a shed load of the guess work out. Especially as trying to get marks and info out of people is like pulling teeth!
Nice one Ryse. Thanks for showing the sea maps, - very informative. Glad you showed Chesil. My father also reckoned there as gullies off Chesil; Now we know for sure. That'll save a lot of long drives. Better to fish the hole at Dungeness. Cheers Mate. Keep up the great videos. 😀👍🍀🐟
Love it mate I take my boat out of queenborough not so much in the winter as I mentioned the other day but I use the same app it’s the best I have found .. great video mate 👌
I've been using navonics on the kayak but this video has taught me I'm not using it well. Thanks for this, proper to the point video 👌 I have a hydrus camo on order to go with my susuki 20hp and looking forward to smashing some good fish around the back of the Iow. Definitely want to try Selsey out as well as I haven't been brave enough on the kayak yet
Think the bit of rough ground yoou look at off the powerstation at dungeness is the 'boils' / water outlet. Should be 2 in close proximity to each other. Easily castable at lw
Watcher mate, looking at getting this app but there seems 2 different maps same price, uk Ireland Holland navionics + or uk Ireland Holland. Which one you using please? Great video by the way they should sponsor you as they are about to get 35 quid out of me lol 😂
Hi Fish Hunter, great video just a question can you use the app to plan a journey and use it on the boat, I have a Garmin striker plus 5CV fishfinder yet to be fitted to my boat along with a new engine, my boat is on moorings so would it plan a route back with 4G network enabled. 35 quid a year is super cheap, Thanks for your time
Yes u can plan your route and pin marks so you can go back to them in the future also set it to your boats spec as in draw beam and all sorts of other bits it really is a brilliant app
@@FishHunterUK Brilliant thanks pal, its all a bit new to me but my old man did this boat in the pic up and now its in Morecambe bay on moorings, bought a 40HP 4 stroke getting fitted when i'm home, bloody stuck out in Azerbaijan at the min but anytime your up the north west I'll take you out on her no problem at all, sausage bacon and egg bun onboard
I use the free version iBoat does exactly the same thing Free. I just installed Navionics not that impressive on an android. iBoat also shows you what the bottom is like ie mud sand pebbles & sand ect ect. Not saying its better the free version of iBoat has no gps the bought version has gps.
