It blows my mind how skillful these pilots are. Whatever benefits they get, they're not enough. Just astounding

Those pilots are bad ass with those drops and in all that smoke.

He sure hit that blazing tree dead on center, but it still didn't completely extinguish the flames. I really feel for all the people who have lost their homes in these western state fires. I live in eastern Tennessee and a few years ago we faced the same thing with a wildfire out of control. We had just installed a metal roof on our house and it saved our house from the glowing embers. That and the grace of God.

You noticed that helicopter water drop @0:17 on the palm tree did not put out the fire...!! WE All Thank the Firefighters and all Emergency Personel..!! BE SAFE

They need to start converting the unused Commercial Airliners that are old and slated for retirement into a firefighting fleet. Get those huge planes continuously dropping water onto the leading edge of the fires. Something, anything. They need to MacGuyver this and soon.

This is actually SDG&E's blackhawk helicopter operated by a civilian pilot and co-pilot along with a Bell 205 operated by San Diego County Sheriffs/CalFire.

I only see a blackhawk and a huey. Seahawks have a large piston tail gear closer to the body. this looks like a national guard blackhawk.

Get rid of all that dried up brush around the structures...Don't they have landscapers out there?

Who is responsible for the maintenance area? is the Government or a private party? This wildfire is absolutely avoidable if it had maintained properly. Fire the official in charge of this area.

That’s actually an Army Blackhawk. Not completely sure if it's National Guard or Reserve but I'm almost positive this is one of their firefighting units. Still cool to see though!

FOR ANYONE WANTING INFORMATION: I used to live on Willowgrove Ave with my grandfather. I know all those neighbors lmao. Basically... From the start of the homes to the bank of the river is owned by a private party. He does not landscape, does not care about the property, doesn't kick the homeless camps out, nothing. He had tried to sell back in the day, spruced up the back field by mowing and whatnot but couldnt sell because he demanded EVERY neighbor purchase the property behind their house, not just 1 plot. In the entirety of my grandfather living there (45+ yrs), this owner has never maintained that land. After it began to become a hazard, my grandfather and I started to mow every month.. sometime around 2006-2007? For a while, the owner said nothing and finally threw a fit over it and demolished our fig tree that randomly grew right outside our fence. So, we stopped mowing. Homeless camps set back up, constant littering, overgrown weeds and bushes, it was awful. But we didn't budge. Then in 2014, my grandfather passed away and we sold the home, but stayed relatively close. The plot was never maintained. You'd drive by and it was overgrown and dry and dead. It was a serious fire hazard and with homeless camps starting fires and shit back there, it doesn't help. :/
