I love how he doesn’t even mention the Rolex subby. Coch is a perfect example of who that watch was originally made for too, a field guy, not a watch guy. Love it. Awesome collection!

I noticed that as well. There's an explorer and I think there was snowflake tudor there too, but he'd rather talk about the the watches that he's found useful and mean something to him. You can tell where he's priorities are with his watches, and it's in the right place if you ask me.

I was thinking the same and especially the mention of the Casio being a solid piece of equipment. I must concur on that. Always enjoy the non watch fanatic videos they are way more realistic then us "watch" folk.

My father always wore a Sub date, as long as I could remember. He relied on this watch as PADI Instructor, and as the ship's diver. After 22 years of USN service, he retired as a MAC. Always fond of the sea, a true sailor. He passed in 2014. He was a good man.

Funny trend I noticed. Seems like a lot of folks in the service industry whether emergency first responders or military types have an appreciation for watches whether they are into them or not. I was kinda like that, never originally a “watch guy” but I could recognize what a fine timepiece was and appreciate it. Years later I got more interested and started collecting. Maybe it’s just fine tools in general, but usually an appreciation for guns, knives, and quality kit just seems to go along as well. Cool video and thanks for sharing.

Bremont is a British watch company founded in 2002 by two brothers with an interest in modern engineering. They were inspired by their father, a former RAF pilot and aeronautical engineer. They have only ever been a watch brand and have very quickly climbed the watch ladder of success.

Yes, they did however partner/collaborate with Martin Baker, and ejector seat co. On a watch that you had to have ejected from an airplane to aualify for. Or, something along those lines.

Fantastic collection, watches that really have served their intended purpose as tools rather than jewelry pieces. Nice to hear first hand from someone who actually got a Tudor when they were still issued, and interesting to know that Gold Squadron opted for Bremont for their team watches. The UK SAS and Aussie SASR both went with Omega Seamaster Diver 300s and IIRC Delta went with Breitling for some of theirs. Coch, I think your pieces would make for a great write up with Watches of Espionage

Stellar episode. So many guys in this 'world' are also into watches. Thanks for sharing. The watches you have are very special, and excellent that they are worn and show signs of wear. Please *never* have them polished! Many watch collectors pay a premium for truly worn watches with backstory, not that your intent is to sell, but you catch my point. Cheers to you, and thanks again.

Thanks for sharing your collection, glad to see that you are a hard-core user of watches (would not expect anything less). Was aware of Bremont's involvement with the military. A US-based AD in the DC area who carries them said that a guy came in needing servicing on his Bremont. The AD turned the watch over to find a "VI" engraved on the case back. "Oh, we'll get this serviced right away." Their Martin Baker watches are super tough. 👍⌚🇺🇸🇬🇧

Had a couple of G Shocks since but that one outlasted them all. Now that I have a mortgage, wife and 3 kids and have to pay for my own watch I just run a Garmin Instinct Solar Tactical. It’s about all the smart watch I need. Takes me from the house to the field to hunting and the gym and everything else. I’d love the Fenix but adulting sucks.
