MORE RAMBO by popular request, and we finally added the classic tomahawk scene from The Patriot. Yup, Richard Ryan is BACK with another episode of Veterans React, bringing on two of our favorite former SEALs: Jack Carr and Trevor Thompson. We hit up some classic archery films from Robin Hood to... well, more Robin Hood. Also Robin Hood.

I saw Rambo II first, when I was seven or eight and got a "Survival Knife" for Christmas that year. It was ACTUALLY call "The Eagle Scout" knife, which still had the compass, but inside the handle, not OUTSIDE like those cheap pieces of shit you got at the flee market. What made it even cooler was that one of my father's (my father gave my brother and I both the same knife) best friends and brother Eagle Scouts, college roommate, etc., gave my father a Bowie knife before he shipped off and eventually was killed in Vietnam, which was the war heros that Rambo celebrated. Because of him, I've ALWAYS stopped to speak to, thank, and shake the hand of ANYONE I came across wearing Vietnam Veteran attire...still do! Now I just added on saying, "Welcome Home!" So, thank you, ALL Vietnam Veterans, and Welcome Home! God bless you! In honor of 1LT. Gary Preston Tomlinson. KIA 7/3/70, Phu Bai, Hue, RVN. I think of you everyday...even though I never knew you! I'm glad your old Cobra Battery allowed me into the Facebook group, in your honor!

There’s actually a really impressive group of advisors over there making sure that show is pretty authentic. We’ve had a lot of overlap with their crew over the years in different projects and they’re doing pretty well with balancing the realism they’re going for with a storyline and current events inclusion that makes the show appealing to audiences without SOF experience of their own.
@pittmann2010
@pittmann2010 3 года назад
@@BlackRifleCoffeeCompany I know a lot of people on online forums compare their enjoyment from this show to The Unit from the 2000’s. I don’t know what kind of tech advisors they had and admittedly it’s been a minute since I’ve watched the Unit but I’m sure there’s clips from that show that would be enjoyable to watch. I’m sure Kyle Lamb would be a good fit for that from his time with Delta force.

I was gonna say, out of everything I see coming out of Hollywood, the level of accuracy on a network television show like SEAL Team surprises me. They clearly have good, experienced consultants and bothered to find good, experienced consultants. Still be fun to watch you guys dunk on it tho, lol.
@1Vmiboy
@1Vmiboy 3 года назад
I bet that would be fun, but I enjoy Seal Team too much to have the Pros point out all the times the show goes Hollywood on the material. By far, Seal Team is the best show about the military since The Unit (can anyone say crossover episode?! 😄) and maybe just maybe if they could sneak Jack and some of the BRCC crew info an episode here and there, the fan base would go nuts 😃

The thing I love about tomahawks and axes in general is how versatile they can be in the hands of someone who knows how to use it. I had to pause this video, like, half a dozen times because I just kept laughing over it.

I finally was able to purchase some coffee from brcc at a local gun show. Wasn’t sure which I’d like more so I bought about 6 different kinds. Excited to try them.

The ultimate kill Rambo made was in Rambo 5 (or V); the boob-trap which canceled the cartel members head and the subsequent shot Rambo made from a shotgun (i think) into the bad-guy's chest was an all-time cinematic kill. Saw the movie in a packed theater... People were laughing an cheering during that scene. Bonus: Rambo had The Doors blaring through the caves.

There was a specific boofaloo they used in dances with the wolves that actually lived down the road from me. Lady I know use to feed it Oreos when she was young. Apparently, it was a really nice animal.
