I'm glad it worked but I did it in a different way. First put a knot in each leg inflate the jeans and squeeze the waist between your legs then put it under your t-shirt. Lay on your back and float with both hands free that will give you the ability to navigate in the waves and to wave with both arms. Makes it easier to get spotted and it's a better isolation in cold water. Then breath out under the t-shirt that will help also to keep the upper body warm.
Thanks for sharing! I also learned your way (individual leg knots) when we were taught basic fully-clothed underwater safety when I was a junior counselor for summer camp some decades ago. We trained wearing jeans and long sleeves in the pool and how to inflate them (overhead technique mostly) and also to breathe under clothes for warm air. Never thought I'll ever apply it, but you did! Awesome!
Thanks for the tip. You’ll probably not see this reply that I’m sending but if you do could you please make a video or some kind of tutorial so it will be easier to understand. Thanks!
There are many of factors in survival. One place I discovered which successfully combines these is the Micaden survive system (check it out on google) without a doubt the most helpful survival resource that I have ever seen. Check out the extraordinary free video.
I learnt this technique in swim school when i was 10yo and never forgot it. Instructor told us kids to come wearing our pajamas that day so we inflated PJ pants. It was fun and memorable.
Save the boots if you've got a feeling it could be days or weeks before rescue as you'll need them for walking, making beef jerky, for thread, making traps, fires, flesh light, trading and most importantly if you have ammo you can make a homemade bird/buck shot 12 guage
+Lloyd Plueschow Currently the only way to legally play RU-vid videos offline is through RU-vid Red, which is a subscription service. If you do a simple internet search you can find other ways...we just aren't condoning it.
youtubeinmp4.com is a great site for getting mp4s of youtube videos. just be sure that your use of the video falls under fair use, if you dont know what that is, look it up. if you are using it for the purpose of education and you credit the source, you should be fine.
open ur browser, then open youtube to mp3 converter page, u will see a bracket where u have to download ur video. then open youtube search the video in youtube browser. At the very top of RU-vid u will see the URL, JUST copy that link n paste in the RU-vid to mp3 converter. For Mp3 u have to select mp3 or just u can simply downlaod the video.
I remember reading about two people on a cruise falling over the side drunkenly at night but fortunately one was a Navy veteran who remembered his training and did this and it saved them both. Ironically though the two of them were engaging in a tryst as both were with their spouses on the cruise and it was the investigation (reviewing security cameras) that exposed their affair, lol
Just saw that German guy that used this tactic, does anyone know if you have to re-inflate the pants every once in a while? I’d assume the air would leak out over time.
My friends ma called me to tell me he's missing (I got in contact with him, it's ok) and I offhandedly mentioned how I ran away and almost drowned in a river and she sent me this This is so weird
A cruise crew member who fell over board lasted about 24 hours in open water before he was found. I wander if he used this technique cause I don't think it's possible to tread for 24 hours lol
There are many of components to prepping. One resource I discovered that succeeds in merging these is the Micaden survive system (google it if you're interested) without a doubt the most helpful survival resource i've heard of. Check out the awesome free video.
Not true. I learned this technique in the Navy in the very pool in the video and I used cotton khaki pants. The fact that the fabric is saturated with water causes a surface tension that holds in the air. The trousers will deflate as the fabric dries out and you have to repeat the process.
Nope, your wrong. Used this technique in basic Army training. The wet pants will hold in the air locking it from scraping. However, you will still have to maintain it by dosing it with water to keep it from drying out. Of course you would have to occasionally blow air into it. It's much, much better than treading water. Try it if you dont believe me.
@@michaellim4165 uh...mine didnt work and im getting tired of swimming....and i think i got crabs. You are incorrect but the person who commented the exact same thing made a good point lol
