A LOT of the "gay" stereotypes came about from the VILLAGE PEOPLE (flamming gay band of the late 70s thru mid 80s) who came out with the song "In the Navy" which had a few gay insinuations. Don't take the issue of Human Trafficking lightly - if people knew about only 25% of the truth of what really goes on, they'd be psychologically damaged. Here's one... when the hookers get used up, they're sold and killed for their organs... Babies are also conceived for the same purpose. And it's not only at brothels in the various liberty ports of call. Happens in the "civilized" countries, and America too.

I am 22 y/o I went to MEPS took my ASVAB less than a year ago and scored like a 24 I can't remember exactly. But I was so disappointed that I didn't pass because I was ready to go to boot physically but messed up trying to wing a 4 hour test. I know I have to kick these current bad habits but I'm to stuck right now.

I go to Meps in charlotte in 2 days, I don't know what to do for a job, there's so many, what would you recommend, I like computers, but aviation sounds pretty cool too, I don't want to get stuck with a crappy job.

The Navy is definitely the most gay friendly branch of the military. I've met several gay dudes that were in the Navy. Every straight person I've met that's been in the Navy isn't homophobic.

One of my biggest concerns about joining the navy is that I'm afraid of losing my high school friends and just drifting apart (I know this is kind of a stupid problem). its a hard working rate ,,, on deployment you'll be working 12 + hours every day ,,, when your not at sea i believe ABH life is pretty lax but its up to your command how much time you will have left over for classes or personal time

That's funny JT my son scored high enough to be in nuclear, he's in boot camp right now and he was told by the Chief that he was a little unusual but that's ok, my sons IQ is high so he comes off as being a little different he was also home schooled from 4th grade thru high school graduation so he didn't have any high school experience, also his intelligence is highly refined he doesn't talk like a typical 20 year old. Graduation ceremony is August 9th 2019 Great Lakes, Illinois

The Navy is the best. Wanna travel the world? Join the Navy. Wanna fly jets? Join the Navy. Wanna shoot big ass guns on badass boats? Join the Navy SWCC. Wanna shoot bad guys in the face wherever they may be? Become a Navy SEAL. Wanna tat up? Join the Navy. You wanna have a beard and longish hair? Well....you have to be a SEAL for that. Moral of the story is that you should just join the Navy. Oh and also the Navy has the best budget.
