Please don't Judas me has the ulultimate guitar solo which rivals any out there😊.😊 The lead guitarist Manny Charlton's guitar is the best I've ever heard! Listen to it!!!
It brings me back to childhood when everything was so pure and beautiful. Reminds me my father. I was born in the '70s too. That's probably why God rest his soul. I think I can relate to it more now though on a personal level after being in prison and wasting most of my life in them places and being burned and sold out so many times to scumbags. . I'm not saint.ive done a lot of stupid s*** and bad s*** to my family too and it kind of is a song that's like them shouting back to me for the loss of time Maybe you know as on tearing telling you this baby lol. Amazing music never dies does it?
Its November 1st 2023 and i am 51 today's. This song every year gives a deeper meaning to me as i take in account of my life i have been given. It truly is a work of art second to none.
61..saw them in Evansville, IN 1980 with Blackfoot as the opening act...awesome show! Man we played the hell out of this in high school! Fantastic album!
To me, this song sounds like the Book of Revelations in the Bible and I imagine it being the song played on The Day of Final Judgment and it also sounds like a prayer a prisoner of war says right before his execution. May God forgive us all for our sins and may you let our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, into your lives. And finally may we all learn to love our neighbors as ourselves. God Bless Brothers and Sisters!
There’s a very true story about the recording of this song at the Kent Recording Studio where Hair of the Dog was recorded in 1975. While recording this track the band decided to take a break. Manny Charlton put his guitar on a stand next to an amplifier. When they came back Manny put on his headphones and heard a distinct feedback Wa Wa Wa Wa Wa which can be heard in the very beginning of this song. Being a very capable and good recording engineer that he was known to be he incorporated this unusual feedback in the final editing of Please Don’t Judas Me. Manny said he never heard that particular feedback before or after this song was recorded and couldn’t replicate that sound again after the recording of this song. He had the vision to use that audio feedback to give this song its unique sound that never has been heard before and since. To this day this type of audio effect hasn’t been heard or replicated. Great song.
Man we wore this album out in high school...partying, cruising and chasing the ladies...saw them in Evansville, IN 1980 with Blackfoot as the opening actt.....one hell of a show. This is a fantastic album! Takes me back to high school days '77 to '81!
I agree 100 an 10% this is the all time best rock album,,,my very first concert was Nazareth.I was 18. Now I'm almost 62brings back feelings I thought I'd never feel again..
When I volunteered at the animal shelter, I used to play this song 🎵 and the dogs and cats would listen ( even if they didn't want to lol) because as I watched them be overlooked and surrendered to a 3 × 5 cell I could feel their fear, pain and despair😢
This song means so much to me! I saw this played live in West Germany,.it changed how I look at myself and how others look at me. And hella right how I view others and how they judge me!!! This group of amazingly talented humans for a certain number of years, had it down cold. The voice of McCaffrey and the guitar wizardry, the great drumming!!( with the cowbell included). The lyrics are so fucking raw and truthful! They remind me in a weird way of The Who!! Different sound but the same skillfully crafted raw emotion.
Man, this song brings me right back to my 66 Plymouth Fury, with an Alpine tuner and Jensen coaxials. Sitting on a dead end road, playing this whole 8 track.😊
Judas never betrayed Yeshua. He played a great role in fulfilling his destiny. Spiritual banging in the nails of crucifixion. Fulfilling the prophecy and the inevitable earthly end of the Messiah. This was an unconscious step by which he carried out wholeheartedly. Holy shit.
One of the finest rock anthems. You know theres got to be another few minutes of him making that guitar ramble into outerspace, exploring that hook. It just gets going as the fadeout takes it away.
Saw many shows at Market Square...saw these guys in Evansville, IN in 1980 I believe...Blackfoot opened...what a freaking show. We played the hell out of this album in high school, '77 to '81, iin southwest Indiana...Princeton!
I was 10 and I ordered the 8 track from the tv guide 6 for a penny. I did not realize I was signing up for a monthly club. I picked it because of the album cover. Nazareth "Hair of the Dog", Styx "Grand Illusion" Kiss "Love Gun" , I cant remember the other 3 right now. 3 albums that helped me realize who I was and who I wanted to be and expanded my musical vision. I love every song on all 3 to this day!
I remember listening to Nazareth back in the late 70’s. I was 18-19 and smoking weed. This song while smoking weed is the coolest vibe ever. Love Nazareth.
For those who are wondering about the intro in the very beginning I have a cool story on that. I was friends with Manny Charlton, so he told me how this song came to be. He said the guys were recording in the studio and took a break. Manny said that when he went back in the studio he heard this faint * waa waa waa waa* and walked around to find where that sound came from. As it turned out, when the guys took their break Manny put his guitar on the guitar stand and it facing slightly toward the Marshal amp. That created basically a slight feedback sound we all know' hear. and love. Manny went to the mixer and recorded this feedback and the rest is history. -- Manny said he was never able to reproduce that sound again
Sometimes the unexpected things or discoveries are made by accident. I never heard this before or since Manny Charlton heard this feedback while recording this song.
@@davidpage3893 - Yeah, Manny told me that he had never bee able to replicate that that sound effect again. One thing I noticed about Manny, he had a good ear for certain tunes/sounds. Good thing he heard the faint feedback or Please Don't Judas Me would be totally different. I used to watch him tap his guitar before or even while playing live. Matter of fact, on one of the live albums ( I believe it was It's Naz aka Snaz) , you can hear him tap the guitar during a song.
Judas X ever ❤ Judas gave his life to carry out Jesus's plan for passover. God's mercy and love will save us all from hell on this earth. Thankyou Mate.
Judas is the real hero of the crucifixion of Christ, because he was chastised and beaten and hated, but he loved us all just like God and his son. Judas and all the disciples knew that Judas would be killed.
1 Corinthians 15:3-4 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: Acts 16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
