Hair Of The Dog came out when I was 16 (1976) and I listened to it a lot. This song reminds me of a girl I knew. I had asked her to go to a Firefall concert (small town Kansas, not much live music going on at the time) with me. She agreed to go but only if I could get us a bottle of Cherry Vodka. I did get the Vodka but she stood me up anyway. I enlisted in the US Army in 1980 and had forgotten all about her until a few years later when I was home on leave. I went to my sister's house and the whiskey drinkin woman was there. I blew her off but am still reminded of her every time I hear this song.

My first stereo came with a cassette player. It also came with cassettes of Nazareth, zztop, black Sabbath, and a general 83 hits album. Thanks dad, 🙏 rip, I love my father and I miss him.
We used to pile in this girls 67 Pontiac Bonneville and go to our favorite parking place late nights a bunch of us and make out for hours and hours and listen to this album on 8 track as well as Framptons Come Alive and we had so much fun. Early to mid 70s was such a great time. Fun memories

Got into Hair Of The Dog, and joined up with all the others yelling, "Now you're messin with a son of a bitch". But here's the cool one. Me and a friend who was in my grade and who's mother owned a bar in town, went in to the bar after hours (with "moms key") for a steak and some beer. When we got in, my friends older brother had been there and had Hair Of The Dog on 8 Track 'repeat'. When we walked in "Whiskey Drinkin Woman" was playing loudly over the "Quadraphonic Stereo System" and......DAAAAMMNN!....I was hooked. I'm still trying to create that wall of sound with a computer video, but nothing comes close to that night.
