Many may not be aware that the space race began in the closing months of WWII with something called Operation Paperclip. This covert effort to scoop up over 1600 German scientists and bring them back to the U.S. formed what would become the foundation for the U.S. rocket program. In this episode, we're exploring a bit of that history and looking at the rockets that would eventually take us to the Moon and back. This is definitely one to watch from beginning to end!
