We like history. And we like good food. And we especially like it when you can go to one place and get both. We've had numerous recommendations for Cafe B-29 in Ozark, Missouri so when we knew that we would be passing through, we knew that we had to stop by. To say that Cafe B-29 exceeded our expectations in every way would be an understatement. Check it out!

I believe that blue star flag back in the day had blue, silver and gold stars. The silver star was for any service member that was wounded in action. I remember my mom saying that when she was little she remembered seeing one of these flags on a house with 4 gold stars and one silver one. I could not imagine the sorrow of that family. Truly the greatest generation in this countries history.

That was truly amazing!! They would have to throw me out of there. As a just turned 70 year old whose father survived the Pacific theater, I really appreciate this, and frankly, all of your videos. My father in law's portrait was hidden by the second light shade you panned to; he was trained by the Army Air Corps to be the left-seat driver of the Consolidated B-24 Liberator, and was on the train in Montana, en route to take a liberty ship to the islands we had purchased with so much Marine, Sailor, and Airman blood, for the great invasion--and Japan finally had their epiphanies which got them to surrender. Thank you for featuring Chaz and her wonderful, *wonderful* restaurant. We don't get to visit very often, as we live too far away. But I am grateful for her love of the veterans and active duty.

My uncles served in WW II and they all came back and shared their experiences with me, some of the most odd stories you could hear. I was also privileged to work with many veterans in my every day working career. One that stands out was a B-29 tail gunner. Those men never said anything about being involved in the war unless you asked them. A paratrooper association inducted my brother and me as honorary members for helping them. During that time, we also met a gentleman from Holland, that had been in the resistance and had been at Arnhem and he autographed my book, "A Bridge to Far." A great, great time!

Doc is NOT the only B29 flying. B29 FIFI has been flying for years. These are the only 2 flying. We built a fantastic hanger and education center for Doc--all by donations, about $7,000,000 I think. I loved this video. I enjoy reading as much as I can about WWII. Of Course, I had my father and many uncles fighting for us in every branch of the service. My mom also worked at the Bell Bomber Plant in Marietta Ga which was built exclusively for the B-29's. The area was first the Naval Air Station which opened in 1941 and an Air Force base also opened in1941 (as Rickenbacker Field). My mom was a Rosie the Riveter whose primary job was putting the windows in the cockpits of the B-29's. After the war, Lockheed took over a good deal building mainly large cargo planes such as the C-130 Hercules and the C-5 Galaxy, and later the F-22 Raptor.

I'd like to see other Cafés do something similar for all of our Wars, etc & have the menus of the Cafés reflect the era at the time. Say, you want to open a Café that has a Civil War History theme to it. Your 1st go to menu would be Soul Food but even when creating a menu, you still want to stay with the history & what the economic classes could afford to eat, wear, use, etc.

Thank GOD for people who take it upon themselves to preserve and share history like this and Thank You for posting this advertisement for Cafe' B-29 ! She's absolutely right about what kids these days ARE NOT being taught about America and her Uniformed War Hero's today. It's even worse now and it's ALL BY DESIGN. God Gave U.S. This Country and Blessed America with the WW2 Generation, So Let's Take It Back Please ! Sincerely, A Viet Nam Vet.

Finally made it back to the area on vacation and was able to eat at the cafe. Let’s just say it was a very good experience, excellent food, friendly employees and an incredible atmosphere. Will definitely make a return visit on the next trip. Thanks for making this video and for the always great content.

What an amazing place! All those signatures of hero’s! Humbling stories shared with the dear woman that started this in honor of her granddad. Puts tears in my eyes. God Bless them. Thank you for sharing!!!!

Your videos are top notch production quality and could easily be on a cable tv network series in my opinion. Well done and thank you for bringing history alive for us all.

That place is so cool. My Dad (a WWII Veteran) would have loved that place. I want to thank you for taking us along. Now I know what I should do with my old 40 year old (MP) helmet liner. It's been sitting and collecting dust in the garage for many many years, and now I know what to do with it. It's going to be a hanging lamp shade. Bravo!!! Thanks again and stay safe.

HEY, JD Wow thank you so much for doing this kind of Vidoe.. There is not enough RU-vid channels that give our veterans of all the wars first world war, world war II, Korea, Vietnam, desert Storm, and Afghanistan all these veterans deserve better then we have done so far I'm so saddened by this We should be doing more to thank them for their service and sacrifice that they have given for this country so thank you for this video take care be safe and God bless ps. thank you Chaz from Cafe B-29
