I agree, I feel like everyone complains about the "lack of space" in a Miata, but you kind of know what you're getting into when you buy one. lol Btw I think your videos are great, keep em going! If you like Miata's you should go and check out my NA build over on my channel. =]

I doubt you drive in the winter, as yall get a ton of snow. But I was just wondering if I could drive it during winter? I know I'd have to get an under coat to protect it about every 6 or 10 months. I don't want to get a second car, bc I'm 18 and a male, and the rates might be high for 2 cars. I'm absolutely in love with these vehicles! Also didn't realize this comment is from 6 years ago 😂.

Most smiles per gallon i've driven so far. The only concern I have (which is not really a bad thing) is how rev-happy it is on the highways. Cruising on the freeway 70mph with 4000+rpm makes me wonder if I'm forcing the engine or not lol. How do you drive your NB on the freeway?
@pattyboi
@pattyboi 5 лет назад
oh yeah it sucks. I wouldn't say its bad for the engine but yeah it def sucks on the highway, luckily I don't spend too much time putting on highway miles
@lonelydriver1421
@lonelydriver1421 5 лет назад
@@pattyboi that pretty much answered the question. It's not for long highway commutes lol. But yeah aside from straightaway cruising, this is overall an excellent candidate for a fun daily driver. Enjoy yours.

@@lonelydriver1421 funny thing is that next semester I'll be taking the car with me to college which is going to be like 90% highway driving....it's gonna suck
@lonelydriver1421
@lonelydriver1421 5 лет назад
@@pattyboi well goodluck with that bro. You're gonna start feeling the negatives of that car lol. But there's nothing wrong with it really. It can easily climb up to 80-90mph, it's just the engine screaming all the time makes you a bit uncomfortable. You will likely spend your time on the slow lane, but the predictable control you have with the Miata and the low end torque makes it easy to accelerate and maneuver thru traffic.
@calvinhobbes6646
@calvinhobbes6646 5 лет назад
It’s designed for it. Literally no problem. I’m at about 3800 at 75mph or so. Road trip often. No issues.
@paulcallaway71

So, if you get hit in the summer it's not a death trap? I think I understand what you're trying to convey but not sure if I agree. To me, everybody's chance of being involved in an accident increases when ice & snow is involved but put some dedicated snow tires on a Miata and it'll out handle most any AWD vehicle with all season tires on it. I'm not saying your wrong, but you might need to elaborate a bit on that comment. Anyway, you have a Miata and I don't so I'm jealous none the less. Have fun!!
@pattyboi
@pattyboi 6 лет назад
Yeah what I meant was the Miata is overall a deathtrap with all these giant trucks and SUVs. The chances of getting hit just increase in the winter. I believe that the Miata with good winter tires can be a lot better than AWD cars with crappy all seasons. The thing is though that I'm not really scared of myself driving, I'm scared of other people's driving skills haha. I'm scared of some schmuck sliding into my at an intersection because he was on his phone. That's kinda what I meant
@paulcallaway71
@paulcallaway71 6 лет назад
All good, man. I thought maybe you had some reservations about winter driving the Miata. I drive a small-ish car (Kia Spectra) and I can relate with all the big SUVs and what not no matter the season. Anyway, thanks for sharing your video and thanks for clarifying your comment. Stay safe!

@blue04mx53
@blue04mx53 4 года назад
sort of... 8 L/100km is better than my Escape, a bit worse than a Chevy Sonic. Way way better than my 04 Nissan Frontier. So, yeah, for a small car not great, but, compared to a more 'normal' daily driver, not bad at all. You'll also probably get better mileage on a miata if you keep the revs down and don't 'bomb it' around every corner and roundabout.
