It really was. From a 90s kid, a little advice... whenever you can just chill with your friends, do it. Find some people you can have fun with without needing cell phones etc. That, and spending time w your family is pretty much the essence of the 90s.
Ahmad Rashad is fascinating guy. Most people don’t even know he played in the NFL. Those that do assume he played a season or two. He was actually the 4th overall pick, played for 10 years, and made 4 Pro Bowls. I think partly the reason most people don’t know that is because he is older than most think. He was born in 49 and played in the 70s. Drafted in 72. He also played in a NBA preseason game for the 76ers as a stunt for the beginning of Inside. He knocked down a 20 foot jumper and didn’t embarrass himself by any means.
80's is when basketball got my interest. Became a Lakers fan because of Magic - Bird rivalry. 90's is when I really fell in love with basketball. I played in school during breaks and after school, try to emulate the NBA players I saw in NBA. Love the way the games were played. Each team has their own style with their stars. 2000s is when I rejoiced being a Lakers fan because of the 5 championships. 2010 and aftrr is when I began not to really following NBA. Mostly I only watch highlights, sometimes only read the news.
What a beautiful series! What a special decade to be alive! I was 12 when it started, 22 by Y2K. I started out in tight rolled silver tabs and ended up saggin’ baggy skate pants. Priceless.
So many great legends and teams back then that never got to the promised land and are all but forgotten. because of one man. #23 His Airness, Michael Jordan Loved this special. There really was some great talent in the 90s!!
That's where Tyler Perry stole Larry Johnson's Grandma ma, idea from. For Tyler Perry To become Medina. Would be funny if Grandma Ma versed Medina in the NBA 1 on 1 game 🤪👀
@@Slick-Wit-it lol I thought u meant have grandmama and Madea play against each other in a Madea movie. Like Grandmama was her old high school bball rival 😂😂😂
I still think Ahmad Rashad set Shaq up!! He let him by and knew he would dunk! That was a rice paper backboard and Shaq didn't know... Ahmad even had that "is that all you got" line ready for him... Dude is smooth!! Best thing ever! Inside stuff was the s#!+
Supersonic was so high flying Dat year I don't know how dey beat Denver. Dat was Seattle best chance ta win 🏆cuz dey coulda beat Houston, Phoenix or NYK
Lookin back I wish we would kept Penny Hardaway in Oakland especially since Tim Hardaway got hurt. Penny n the Warriors would been better off. N I think Shaq n C-Webb would put Robinson / Duncan ta shame
33:55 That’s the best Shaq basket break. Because the backboard didn’t just shatter or slowly come down like that one time. He just ripped the fucking rim off and ate shit on his back. That’s gdamn power.
I love the 90s NBA. But the Spurs methodical, surgical beat down of other teams pissed me off. After watching the excitement of Jordan, Magic and Bird....they were really dull. But they won it all.
Prior to 2000s, the nba players look like real men...i mean they look mature and inteligent...the muscles are so sexy...nowadays, mmmm just look at zion..🙄
Somebody told me that I'm going to give you everything you need to win a championship, to me that's not winning that is cheating the game. No way no how I will pick that you all do everything to make LeBron James happy he is not a winner matter-of-factly the biggest cheater I don't even want to watch that game we win I know it was staged and I know it was a setup
