Yea I would say live wins by a hair... some 2k faces look better, but what live does that we doesn’t do is put more actual detail in the faces. Like textures, more creases and wrinkles. A lot of 2k faces just look to clean
Coming from someone who has put more time into Live than 2k, you’re high as hell. Live has a lot of really bad faces especially if they aren’t a star players face.

I don't even watch basketball like that so from an unbiased perspective , some faces in Live look a lot better and he overall lighting is superior. But a lot of faces on Live are also Wayyyy off. 2k is more consistent and the faces still look very solid obviously .
If 2k has Live’s lighting 2k would have it by a landslide. The Isaiah one isn’t close and the Durant one isn’t close... yet my friend (outsider looking in) said it was a tough choice. Heck if 2k brought back 2k14 lighting and brought in live18 skin then hell yeah.
Live faces look good with the lighting. 2k always looks good. 2k has horrible body types tho. Why everyone in 2k look like they got rubber arms? Like come on both games fail and excell in areas. 2k huge fail with the whole VC garbage buy your way to 99 is what it should be called. 2k lost its roots. Started out as a 20$ game new. Now they releasing 149.99 editions and you all buying in. Live isn't going to be better than 2k for atleast another 5 years, if 2k stays the same [as always] and live doesn't cancel the next game [as always]. We either play a game that looks a little worse [but fun] or a game that's still fun and looks a little better [but cost a shit ton]. Like let's get back to roots when live wasn't greedy and played great and 2k was releasing awsome games at a low price. In my HUMBLE OPINION OF COURSE... Guess I'm just a old fart when it comes to this shit... Can't wait to argue with those 22 year olds who remember everything! Lol
Mutant Saiyan that's part of the problem lol. Glitches to rank up? I'm not saying one game is better than the other. I'm just saying people need to give props when it's deserved and complain when it's needed. It will make for a better product in the future. If we keep dogging live for the good things, they will throw it out the window. If we keep defending 2k for the bad things, they will never change them.

The ones that are off in live are obviously because they never got scanned... Josh Jackson for example. But in 2k18 I keep saying WHY IS EVERYONES PUPILS SO BIG!?!?
Some of 2ks were also unrecognizable... if I didn't have a live picture next to it , I wouldn't know who the person was irl. The graphics are so cartoony and poorly lit in NBA 2k.
2k is spot on with their face scans, but their lighting is realllllllyyyy hit or miss. Live's lighting was damn near perfect, and some face scans were really good, but others looked like their development team got drunk as shit. Also it seems both studios can't get eyes right. 2k improved theirs a lot, but a lot of the time they look too big, but for Live they look too small. They Both have their pros and cons, but in the end you rarely ever see the faces this close up in game. Gameplay matters more and I personally think 2k has the more solid gameplay. But in graphics, what Live lacks in facial accuracy was almost made up by the life-like lighting, and what 2k lacked in lighting was almost made up by their facial accuracy.

Live always skips a couple years and comes back with ugly cans of garbage. 2k has one year to make attractive cans of masterpiece. People just have to accept that Live is still leagues behind 2k.
For Live to have scanned only 5 players is amazing how the others came out making it from scratch. Some players in 2K look better, Some in Live look better.
Not a big live fan but yes it does look better...I just wish if the players cut their hair a certain way or cut off their beard or something we can change that within the game
I’m a 2K guy, always has been and probably always will but WOW. Most of the faces on LIVE seriously look life like compared to 2K it makes them look what they are, a video game. Amazing work by EA.
Some of the faces in Live is far off probably because of time constraints on the release. 2k got this one, for now. But Live has the better game engine so down the road they will come up better than 2k. Some of these are already better than 2k like d wade,chris paul, jv, kyle lowry,tony parker,etc. i wish Live with all the success so 2k gets actual competition and we don't get abused by their greed.
and 2k had a decade of compounded work on the models and texture. they just touch it up and got so close last year. this year actually is worst than 2k17.
How does live actually have like 1 out of every 10 that is better than 2ks but then the rest of those 10 just look straight out of like 2006. Like did they even try for 95% of the league?
A lot of people don't know that Live ain't even using the Frostbite Engine that's in Madden 18 at all, if they do make Live 19, I guarantee they putting that it in next year, that's why the game was on sale for pre-order. When they get these funds from this year game just wait, better presentation and graphics, gonna be lit!!
