I’m glad you do this because 2K is unbearable otherwise, it’s crazy because the CPU can actually make good adjustments but you can’t see it unless your slider sets bring that out. I especially enjoy the CPU vs CPU chess matches so I can’t wait to hear your progress on those sets.

This is the most messed up area I've encountered so far...and they're the most important settings to have set right early!! So I just had to dive deep right away and get em out ASAP!! I found the cpu in 2k24 better than in previous years with more intelligence in offense and defense and had more fun playing on default sliders this year for the first few weeks with the game! But your sliders take my experience every year to another level! Thank you for you effort and intensity to give us these slider-sets every year!

really. Bc I hate the default sliders bc AI get too many defensive animations when they're in bad position. I'm getting guards jumping across the paint to block layups. I can have 2 steps on ppl with Ivey and AI get a contest by teleporting infront of me. It's so d*mn annoying!

Yeah that's one thing I really wanna continue looking into and possibly make adjustments to the sliders for diff eras. I just want them to actually make a difference! And I wish 2K would also work on tailoring the gameplay/programming/player behavior to better fit each era!! I think we should be good in terms of using the main MyNBA settings like trade, progression, etc on the different eras, so that's good. I'll be testing to see if we wanna change any of that for past eras as well tho...especially all the contract/salary cap stuff. That's gonna be the next video btw. That whole area is so messed up, so I just had to get it straight ASAP! Not to mention the fact that those r prolly the most important sliders to have set right early! It's a good question...game speed is mostly about feel and flow to me. That's why I always encourage ppl to tweak it up or down from my recommended setting if they feel like it's going too fast or slow for them. It really can vary based on the individual. When I test it, I literally do a split screen with 2K games on different game speed settings on 1 side and real NBA games on the other side. I'm just shooting for the most realism from that perspective. With the possessions, I suppose at the end of the day, it does affect the amount of possessions...but that's not really the primary concern for this slider. It's more about the game feeling good to the player. But yeah a faster setting will result in more possessions at the end of the day, and a slower one will result in fewer. It's not like a significant difference tho. It's just like a by-product or a side affect. It's not that big of a difference in total possessions. I'd focus more on how the game feels to u and tweak from there!👍
Hey thank u!! I always consider the Superstar set like the "base" set. That's kinda like the slightly more challenging version of what I would consider equilibrium. That's where I'd recommend starting if ur used to playing 2K. There's always an adjustment period each year getting used to the new version tho. If ur not as experienced with 2K, then I'd recommend starting on All-Star. No matter where u start, u can get a feel for whether u need more or less challenge and adjust from there!👍

Yeah I know exactly what ur talking about...unfortunately🤦♂ The best way to answer that is...yes, they do a better job with it in terms of execution on these sliders compared to default...but that doesn't mean the double teaming problem is solved. And that's cuz the real issue isn't the execution. It's the strategy/positioning/scheme. That's what I wish so bad 2K would work on: making the CPU double SMARTER! I have some BRUTAL clips where I was actually screwed and had nowhere to go...but then the CPU doubled, didn't rotate properly and ended up just handing me an easy bucket when I definitely would not have had one otherwise. I was hoping the increases in the defensive awareness slider would help...and it has but I wish it was more affective. There's still too many times where the CPU doubles and rotates in ways u would never ever see a defense do irl. I've been bugging 2K about this since the game came out...but u could guess how that's gone smh
I’ve done some testing myself to try and solve the problem. Try raising the help defence slider up to 65 and let me know what you think. What I’ve found is that makes it a lot harder to abuse the CPU down low. They CPU defence tends to recover a lot better. Also, if you want to send the open man on a cut to the basket you need to be really precise or you risk getting tied up for a jump ball.

For the 'Shot Coverage Impact' slider, would I need to raise it or lower it to keep this from happening? Also would I change the USER SCI slider or the CPU? Appreciate it man!

I’ve been using the 2K23 CPU vs CPU sets until now and they’ve been working decently well, though my team’s percentages and the percentages they allow are a decent bit higher than the rest of the league 😅 Do you plan on doing different slider sets for each era in MyNBA (ex. In 80s they wouldn’t shoot as many 3s) Thanks!
Hey! Definitely gonna do CPU vs CPU! Already been testing it and cannot wait to dive into it more!! I'm just finishing all the league setting rn. The next video is gonna be all the contract/cap stuff (cuz that's a MESS this yr). That's one of the main reasons I'm so excited to be able to kinda move on from last gen! More time to get more in depth on things like that in new gen!!!

Thanks another year in clutch but for beyond hof and hof the cpu just gets away with a bunch a bullshit shots and don’t have the badges or attributes to play offenses or defense like they have been while I have to work for my shots that don’t go in!!!
hof aint it bro, i aint having fun tbh, im timing my shots right and i know their shots but somehow they still miss but the cpu can make 80% contests + user lateral quickness is ass, everytime im in a good position, the cpu finds a way to slip by. its supposed to be fun and competitive but right now its just frustrating and such a headache

@@qKale The real player % setting just basically turns the meter off. I find it to get kinda predictable imo...like u kinda start to know if ur gonna make or miss after a while. It just favors open shots and punishes contested shots too much imo. I like having the meter so we have a chance to kinda overcome the contest and still hit the shot IF we do a great job with the release. With real player %, ur kinda at the mercy of the game without much recourse when it comes to rising above the D with high level user skill. However, I know many ppl who just like using it and they swear by it. That's why I test my sliders on that setting too. I try to make them so u can use either one and the stats aren't gonna come out all off either way. Another thing u can do is lower the shot timing impact slider for the user. That doesn't turn the meter off, but it kinda lessens the impact/importance of getting a quality release. Turning that all the way to 0 is basically the equivalent of using real player %. So the lower u put that slider, the more the game should allow u to make yellow releases and not just greens. In fact, that's one part of the next update that I have coming out soon!! It'll help fix/fine tune a lotta things...one of them being balancing the whole contested shot thing I talked about earlier. That's in the works as we speak....oh man I'm sry I just wrote u a freaking novel!!🤣🤦♂
I will be using the Rookie Sliders at the start and I am not ashamed to admit it ! I'm not that good at 2k and I can't shoot at all in this years game. I don't want to give up on the game but I admit it is a struggle. Every time I make progress I always regress.
Wow this fixes so much. I still find myself winning by 7-13 points a game. But there are a lot of heated battles in the midst of the game with feels so much better... I just slowly creep up stats to make the game slightly harder and wow... 2k Hire this man
Love the movement of the players but making the CPU more dominant with blocks and 3p shooting just wasn’t as enjoyable as I thought stats is all messed up over here
What Did was lower the jumpshot defense strength on realease slider at 5. And lowered jumpshot defense strenghr on gather at 40. Like that if the defender isn't in your space when you go up for a shot especially with good shooters, unless it's a really lengthy defender, the shot might still be relatively open.

Just force a trade to the team u wanted to go to. U'd just have to go to ur trade settings and turn the trade override on. I've done that before if something really cheesy happens and I wanna fix it real quick

Hey! For current gen, I would actually use the current gen 2K23 final sliders for the time being. Those will be more transferrable than the next ones, even tho it's a different year. However, it won't be long where this will be a moot point! I've gotten held up dealing with a couple giant messes on next gen, but I'll be getting to current gen soon! I'm gonna do like a mass drop on current gen with a bunch of stuff in one video!! Interesting that all the videos increase the speed. One of my biggest issues with the game is how often AI speed boost to get in defensive position. It's downright annoying. I'm going to try cutting lateral quickness down, maybe that will help. Other than that, I like these settings so far. I just can't get a clean shot off with smaller guards because AI is soo dang fast!

These suck. Especially the “hardest difficulty” it’s not even hard it’s just stupid. CPU can only keep up by hitting 100% contested threes and then your green window is non existent on 5% contested. (I personally think you just hate shooting) Then here comes the end of 3rd/early 4th q run where I can’t miss even on 50 contested Sliders are not going to save this garbage game.
Yeah these are BAD. Player movement is worse than default. I’ve become used to bad shooting on ur sliders so I won’t complain but my gripe is movement. I will say idk how much of it is the sliders or if 2k is just that terrible this year
U mean like on what certain sliders do and how exactly they affect the game...I WILL ABSOLUTELY BEING DOING THIS!!! This particular video isn't really that kinda video...it's like a full slider release video...but my whole structure of what I wanna do will include all kinds of videos that focus in on certain areas/specific sliders!! Those videos will also include updates to correct/improve whatever we're looking at for that video! Believe me, that's like all I've been wanting to do.
