Though it is an NBA All-Star Game, you honestly have to add this season's (the 2023-2024 NBA Season) game to the list, because a 211 to 186 game between the East and the West is insane. I doubt that people could score that many points in NBA Live, NBA 2K, OR NBA Jam video games...let that sink in for a bit. Also, being the very first basketball game, not only in the NBA All-Star Game, but also the NBA, and ANY level of basketball, in the entire history of the game to have one side that scored over 200 points is definitely a Guinness Book of World Records feat.

@@paquinraino8180 I said late 80’s and 90’s which the average score for the league was 101 points. So most nights teams wasn’t scoring over 90. The entire 80’s decade was high scoring but that started to drop off big time at the end of the decade into the entire 90’s. The average went from 109 points in the 80’s to 101 points in the 90’s. So I’m comparing that to now where you have 6 teams averaging 120+ points per game. The 2020’s so far the entire league is averaging over 113 points per game, the only highest decade were the 1960’s at 115 points per game where there were much less teams and less games being played. I stand corrected with my statement.
@@talkditingsdem5799 101 points was in 1995 when the scoring dropped ( mid to late 90's) before that it was between 105 and 111 ppg with almost the same pace as today if not higher. The difference is that teams are shooting way more 3's which inflates the scoring to 112 ppg on average ( with only the last 2 years being above 111 ppg). That's means that teams nowadays scores 1,5 to 2 more ppg with way more 3pts (almost 30 more 3PA), so no the 80's and even early 90's were not the defensive era you tried to portrays in your OG comments. (they were GOATed tho) The highest ppg ear lasted until 70's and also in the 60's they were playing the same number of games as today, IDK where you took the "less games being played" from tho. At least you could say that the offensive ratings went through the roof, which I would agree with you but watch how complex offense are compared to before with all the apport from extra pass, triangle offense, spacing, off ball movement and way more team basketball than the dead ball heavy iso era. Now the rules of free movement lead help too much team offense and I don't believe they need that to have high scoring anyway. Also if I remember it's pretty much the same in the playoffs compared to other eras. And I would say that the playoffs nowadays are the highest level of basket ball in NBA history
