I love everything about this clip - takes me back to high school when I actually used to watch the NBA. Those Blazers were fun that year, loved Clyde Drexler! I would never have claimed to be a Blazers fan but I definitely wanted them to beat Detroit that year. But the Bad Boys were a pretty good team...
Then Clyde Drexler and his Blazers had another shot 2 years later but faced another team in their prime - Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen and the Chicago Bulls. The Detroit Pistons returned all their roster from their championship team the previous year, minus Rick Mahorn, who the NBA made leave due to the expansion draft. So they were without one of the bad boys for their 2nd championship.
I grew up going to games at the Coliseum during this exact period in time. The Suns were so fun, the arena was a dump looking back but the memories are great!
Could happen in 2028 because CBS sports is losing the SEC Football to ESPN and Fox sports. If CBS sports does get back the NBA and Major League Baseball that means they have to give up the Army Navy game and Sun Bowl to Fox sports. Most likely Army Navy game will be on Fox News. CBS sports would have to do NBA games with Turner Sports and CBS sports network.
Dick Stockton previews Game 6 of the 1990 NBA Playoffs between the Portland Trail Blazers and the Phoenix Suns for the NBA on CBS in Veterans Memorial Colisum.
Most annoying blaring instruments and animations. Too much of each. My nerves are jangled and the game hasn’t even started. Let the game provide most of the excitement.
The blaring “music” lasted during the whole Stockton setup. And it felt like someone had gotten into RU-vid commentator “fairfaxcat’s” head with a hammer.
