Love how Jordan Clarkson was passing the rock in the pickup game. We all know he could have ISO'd every play but he was making sure his team was also having fun
White mamba is right, NBA players have been playing the game Every day, all day, on top of that they perform specific excercises that help them to improve their game. So it's a fact that NBA players would destroy any regular guy who plays the game 2 or 3 days per week and is busy working as some Americans would say 9 to 5. However, I would like to see Scalabrine or some of the worst NBA players going 1 on 1 against some players that play in the leagues of Argentina, Brazil, or Venezuela (not to mention Europe which overall level is higher) I would bet that Scalabrine or some others NBA guys would lose in some cases.
I remember when I was in high school chris Paul showed up for a charity event and the the whole basketball team was there so we ran a 5 on 5. Paul was with the jv versus the varsity starters. (My school is known for its basketball program). First of all Paul isn't that tall but the IQ is out of this world. Completely smoked the varsity team. Effortlessly and he made the JV team do all the scoring. It was basically all assist and defense
Curry wasnt even trying to break that guy's ankles and he still fell Lololololol. That just shows what level Curry is at compared to us regular folks. Lol.
After the antetokounmbros event in Athens me and my friend got to guard Giannis and Thanasis for a few possessions. I got Giannis. He just bumped me out of the way to my right , followed by a step through to the left and a casual dunk. When I attacked him I gave him a hesi (which he kinda bit) into a Harden step back creating a ton of separation. He still swatted that ball out of the air. I'm 195 cm 95 kg and felt like a f*cking child.
To be fair man, you are playing againts arguably the best player in the world. Also props to you getting Giannis to bit into your move even though he ended up swatting it
@@gee_kaz Only slightly man. His reflexes on defense are way too fast for most people to create enough space. If I'm playing him in a team setting I'd rather shoot logo shots than face that all night
@@DeanBKK he isnt referring only to this vid tho, you see any 3ppg guy live and youll understand even the worst in the league are so ahead its not even worth comparing to them
@@diegochavez679 small in the nba. even myself i'm 6'3 aat 16, id look like a fucking roach lol. regardless of how small it is in basketball, it's still a blessing to be above 6ft
@@nathang2783 I was gonna say that dude was raw af. All these other vids they going against kids and gobert got the number 1 freestyle b ball players😭😭
Back then when I would watch these videos id always wonder why it looks like they're never trying against regular people. I used to think it was just like cockiness or whatever. But now I realize that they cannot play hard against regulars because they have to protect their bodies at all costs....wouldn't want a career ending injury because you played with random lol. Plus it's not like they really need to play that hard against them anyway🤣
Just imagine Michael Jordan in his prime playing a 7 year old and destroying him 274:0 because he just can't turn off his ego😂 Oliver Kahn, a German football (soccer) goalkeeper once did a penalty shooting event for charity. Kids tried to score and they donated money for each scored goal. Oliver Kahn caught every single one of them 😂 Apparently he only learned about the donations for each goal when the event was over.
Lots of cool moves and funny plays. And good stories to tell. Had to be cool playing with the pros. Got a new subscriber. Was fun to watch. Great video
I thought the same thing. When I coached at a small town middle school players and parents would ask me about when I played and they were dumbfounded that I said I was a point guard because I was "so tall". I am 6ft with my sneakers on, lol.
Devin booker passive aggressively helping that kid after getting stripped is spot on. They can never really think they are better than you if you never give a honest effort. Good thinking here.
I like this vid cause most of them are wholesome and good sportsmanship. Seen other vids of NBA players literally pushing people down when the person playing defense
Every time I see Curry I just think of him doing 100 3's in a row without missing. How do u even begin to be that good, it's like a videogame cheat code or somethin. I practiced 3's for like 6 months and my record was 10
"I practiced 3's for like 6 months and my record was 10" there ya go, be proud. He has practiced 3s for more than a decade, and probably more a day than you.
But is dude any good at basketball overall? I've seen multiple hood dudes at gyms do easy windmills at 5'9 over the years but they're not good enough at the sport to lead their team to wins .
@@yingyang7666 Yeah, zero. Gobert took it easy on him. I don't like him but he blocks guys taller and faster than the dude in the video. Professor has ZERO chance, not now, not in his prime.
@@yingyang7666 holy smits, I was about to say lol. The Professor should just come out and say it so his fanbase could shut up. Streetballers are their own culture and don't need the NBA anyway.
The crazy thing is that the NBA players were probably using like 1% of their power in these clips. Pro athletes in any sport are in a different galaxy from normal people when it comes to their abilities.
I love that kid that got wrecked by Trae is just FLABBERGASTED "i thought ajsiowehaha got behind hahaghahgha i thought i got behind hahafjkoa" lololol sooo goooood
Its not a travel if you lift your pivot. Its only a travel when you lift it and touch the ground again before you start your dribble. In the video the ball hits the ground well before he takes his first step.
interesting video because you see how they matchup against ordinary players. i played basketball with grizzlies coach brother when they were in vancouver long ago. i also played with steve nash's good friend johnny.
The difference in basketball talent doesn't *look* like a lot when you watch it on TV, but when you see this kind of stuff, it's crazy. I worked at a college where one of our assistant basketball coaches was a 33-year-old who played professionally overseas. He would come play basketball at the rec center with a bunch of other Athletics employees on lunch, and he would come wearing 10 pound ankle weights and a 25 pound weighted vest "just to get a decent workout" and then he would just dominate all these "normal" people who all played high school or college basketball lol.
Rudy gobert was toying with the guy in the beginning of the 1vs1. Yeah the other dude may be fast but in reality it’s no match for the 7footer . Absolutely amazing how different professionals are from normal people . And in the sense normal I mean like average height individuals like myself or the dude going against gobert. That dunk was soo nasty how he brought him down in the post right under the basket and just Shaq’d him haha
Pretty sure a lot of these pros don't go hard defensively or offensively and neither do their opponents. Imagine Klay getting injured in a promo pick up game or Gobert actually trying to play actual D and rolling his ankle or something...
I mean the pros don't have to for one. Its not like Klay was being guarded by your prototypical 3-and-D monsters like Miles Bridges. He was being fronted by some flat footed small dude. So he gave him a stutter step and drove left to leave him behind the dust. Watch ex-NBA player Brian Scalabrine have his way in the half court vs amateur guys. He's not even sweating making a bucket against them.
Well, it makes sense that NBA players are far better than the average Joes, playing basketball is literally what they do for a living, during the regular season sometimes they play 4 games in a week, they live to play basketball and they play basketball to live, after many years in this process they develop muscle memory to the point that their dribbling moves are practically automatic and they even know if a shot will go in right after taking it. Meanwhile people who aren’t NBA players, who work from 9 to 5, they don’t get paid to play basketball, they can only play when they got time for it.
8 to 5, 8:30 to 5, 9 to 5:30, or 9-6. Anyone who has a 9-5 job where the company pays for lunch damn sure does have a lot of spare time in their life, it's a full correlation. I'm just saying.
@@NoixNoir-gu4fd that’s why NBA players will always be in a different tier above the regular people who work 8 hours a day. Regular people can only play basketball in their spare time, NBA players’ job IS to play basketball, they don’t play in their spare time, they play basketball as a job and after that they have spare time. Besides all that, NBA players have access to coaches who can help them to tackle their weaknesses, coaches that also get paid to train these dudes. The NBA players also have access to the best training facilities the money can buy, they have access to doctor who’ll give them the best medical treatment in case of an injury, they have access to the best nutritionist who’ll give them the best diets to keep their athletic bodies in shape, they have access to chefs that will cook the best food for them. So yeah, the regular 9-5 job dude can practice as much as he wants in his spare time and maybe he’ll be good enough to play ball against other dudes from his block, but trust me he’ll never be nowhere near the level of an NBA player who gets paid 7 figures a year.
lol. Dude is sooo surprised to be in position to even contest the shots! It did not matter. I love these vids. now have to go find the first one Edit: 7:53
Isn’t a kid. This guy is Brisco and is a pro basketball freestyler. It was world champion. He’s not to let Rudy come back. And sorry english isn’t my language🤣
The Gobert one is great cuz he’s not even trying and he goes down a bunch of points then is just like “ok, now I’m trying” and just immediately humiliated the guy like it’s nothing
That's natural. It happens in every sport, even in combat sports. There are so many dudes thinking they could hold their own against pro fighters lol it's unreal
@@calamorta Some idiot military guy got into a fight with an mma fighter. Killed in one punch by the mma fighter. I've trained with some of those special force guys and they're no joke. So for a mma fighter to do that to a trained killer really sets a tone.
