NBA Street Retrospective 

NBA Street is automatically a good game because of the EA sports BIG intro

Street had some of the best soundtracks as well. It’s such a shame EA is so money hungry now cause they used to put out classics

They need to remake this game. It was dope and still is to this day

NBA Street Vol. 2 has my favorite basketball gameplay ever. I got a PS2 back in June because I wanted to play a lot of the games you mention in your video and bought many of them (Madden 07, NCAA 06, Nascar Thunder 04, NFL2K5, etc.) and once I got my hands on NBA Street I was instantly in love. It's gameplay is so much fun and addictive and the only sports gane I'd take ovet it is probably 2K16 and Thunder 04. It is a true masterpiece in sports gaming

NBA Street 1 & 2 was prime sports gaming

This was honestly one of the best basketball video game I have ever played. It's been a while since I've popped this in the ps2. Might have to dig it out of the box in the attic after this. Thanks softdrinktv, very nostalgic.

NBA Street Vol.2 is my favorite game to play. I still have that and other games like NFL2k5, Ncaa 06 and Madden 07. Street OG wise is still very fun to play and even your friends will roast you too and hype you up so it was 2x the chaos in fun form.

Ea has the nfl and nba license make more game than madden you dont have to just make madden and live you could do arcade games oh wait madden is already a arcade game CAUSE ITS TRASH

You're right about the accessible to other gamers part. Not alot of people around me played a ton of sim sports games which made it less enjoyable to play but when I put on NBA Street, NHL Hitz or Mario Strikers, everyone wants to play

I always said ea should just be done with NBA live and just compete with 2k by bringing back nba street. I mean nba live already has a arcade feel to it, the streets mode is perfect to build off of too. Bring back characters like bonafide, dj, drake, takahashi, biggs, stretch, biggie little, osmosis etc.... Not to mention live put in guys like the professor and bone collector in nba live, so it only makes sense to just call live nba street anyway lol. I feel the game would get way more buzz too.

NBA STREET 2 RETROSPECTIVE NEEDED

I remember when you would have the game on easy and you go on a winning streak the announcer would constantly bug you to change the difficulty. Me being a curious kid I wanted to ling he will say it. He literally wouldnt stop bugging me about a difficulty. Small details but games today don't have emerson like before.

If I remember right, "Hoops" for NES used street ball scoring. But I haven't played that game in over 30 years so I could be remembering it wrong. Love NBA Street though.

It always disappoints me that there was never an NHL Street game. Same concept, same engine as the NHL series and just replace the ice with asphalt rinks and the ice skates with inlines. You can’t tell me that wouldn’t have done well.

2:15, while i like older hockey games like NHL 7 to 12, NHL 14, NHL 2K5 to NHL 2K8, simply that hockey games i like the most, i enjoyed the most, sixth gen NHL 2K5, NHL 2K6, my favorite generation is the seventh gen, NHL 7 to 12, NHL 14, NHL 2K7, NHL 2K8. i missed 11 hockey games that is actually great to legendary.

I didn't own any of the NBA Street games as a kid but I remember playing them at some of my friends houses & I never been a big basketball fan. Now I have all 3 volumes for my gamecube. Speaking of which How could you not mention the inclusion of Mario, Luigi & Peach in NBA Street volume 3 on the gamecube? :P

N.B.A Street was my shit always picked either the Lakers or the Magic becuase the ps2 version since u had Michael Jordan I picked Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal. Or my created player with the Magic. N.B.A Street vol 2 is the greatest in the series N.B.A Street v3 is underrated becuase that dunk contest was crazy and creating your own court and playing on the GameCube with Mario Luigi is fun

Nba and NFL Street 2 are games I still play today along with many other PS2 games because with the CD you get EVERYTHING and you had to work hard to get what you wanted. No paywall

I remember playing this game, lots of fun, really enjoyed it. I didn't realize there was goaltending allowed until after I played a few games and that was disappointing since any outside shot could always be taken away. But still a fun game.

My mom took me to GameStop one day and told me I can get a cheap game lol and found this for 9.99 on the GameCube and fell in love with it and put countless hours in this game with my cousin when we were kids I remember teaching him how to play and now not too long ago I taught my son how to play and he loves it this game is really timeless

I played this game into the ground. Wish i didn't trade in my homecourt for the PS3 NOW LOL. They really need to remake this first one at least or make a remake that combines all the street legends from original 3 games/variations of them. Take aspects from from NBA Street Homecourt and create a new gen game but willit happen ?
