I hate how these commentators act like missing jimmy, Donovan, Allen would made a difference where Boston owned the east against these teams all year long with them so give me a break just to make excuses for it being easy for them. All they can do is play who is in front of them and other teams should have gotten a deeper bench or done better in free agency
Perk talking nonsesne again - saying that tatum and brown shouldnt expect time to grow. Tatum is 26 years old. Did Lebron have a title at 26? No. KD? No. Steph? No. Jokic? No. Nobody EVER judged any of those players for not having a ring when they were Tatum's age. And only two of those guys ended up winning titles by staying with their team. LEbron gave up on himself and went off to join 2 superstars in Miami, while KD gave him on himself and went off to join a premade championship team in Golden State. That's what those guys had to do to win titles. I think Tatum deserves a little more respect. He's stayed loyal. He's stuck with his team. He's learnt eveyr year from his mistakes and made legitimate improvements to his game bit by bit. He's been to game 6 of the NBA finals and fallen short...and now at 26 he's ready to do what it takes to make a run and get that chip. Good on him for not taking shortcuts, not running off to join superstars on another team, etc. I mean, it's easy for Perk to talk...was young when he won a title in Boston, but he had Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen all in the absolute peak of their prime - driving that team. All he had to do is stand in the paint like an immobile blob, grab some rebounds, and knock people on their asses if they come in th epaint. His entire career he's never had to face the type of pressure that Tatum (or even Brown) has had to face at their age as two young guys caerying a team.
@jonhathaway2537 Pierce was 29, KG was 31, Ray was 32. Prime years are 27-33. All three players had at or near career best production in the year prior to coming together in Boston. Yes, they were in their prime. They were in the very least year or two of their prime, but they were in their prime.
@@pete3198 pierce was not 29 lol. They were 30-31-32 and that’s definitely not prime it’s back end of it. Guys like Lebron and curry have changed that trend as have other guys Paul and KG weren’t nearly as effective in the coming years. Pierce especially, got fat and didn’t take care of himself
