LIL LEAN it depends on how he takes care of his hair. For example eating healthy, using oil, using water and leave his hair alone and also using less products as possible.
I’m bouta cut my hair short is it better to start his free forms that he has rn short or wait till I got like an Afro and if I start them short will they grow out to an Afro kinda free form like his or drop right away?
Can I just leave it nappy and just lay on it bc I got like curly nappy hair and my hair stays soft so can I just lay on it and just keep it nappy then use my sponge
@@LJ-xb6cs yeah putting rubber bands in your hair is like the only way and it helps I started doing it and my hair kinda grows faster because it's stretches your hair out to it's full length and creates sections too if u tryna start freeforms
Is twisting my hair good to get dreads? Everytime I am watching on my phone or if I’m in class or whatever I be twisting my hair wit my fingers. Will that dread my hair?
ToWavy So You can wash your dreadlocks and then Begin separating them one by one on your Scalp with your hands, but you don’t want to wash your dreadlocks you will need some type of Liquid to make it work because otherwise you might Experience breakage with your hair dry.
Fresh Dex I don’t have dreads yet, but I had freeform dreads with the sponge a couple years ago, and I never separated my hair so my dreads were all congoed and it didn’t look right. I wanna try to get them again but I don’t want them to look like how they did before. How long should I wait before washing my hair? And is there a certain shampoo or conditioner that will work best?
ToWavy So I believe you should wait at least 5 months but if you feel like you should wash throughout those months wash them. Also you should watch my dreadlock product video. A lot of useful information on that video. I would recommend t/sal shampoo and t/gel products on greatLocs.com websites
Boss DRE wash it once and then begin sponging it and then finger twisting it. You have To wait until your hair is lock before you can keep washing it like that.
When my hair lock is it going to drop early cause I want it to stand up then drop wen I twist in it I been using sponge and then twisting it from the sections that’s good ?
Kingz you sponge your hair until you gain enough hair length then stop sponging and alow your dreadlocks to freeform and still maintain with a sponge at that point once in a while.
glee . The towel method you use it like you would use a dreadlock sponge but use a micro fiber towel and don’t use that method as much as the dreadlock sponge
When you first start off your loc journey should clean your hair and pick out your hair one time and then after stop using the pick and use the dreadlock sponge and when your hair gets longer switch to using the towel and then stoping the towel because you don’t want to create too much breakage so when you get to using the towel don’t use it to often and finally after that switch to finger twisting and using the dreadlock sponge here and there for a while and then allow your hair to freeform.
