I visited the NBC Studios in 1986 and on "Johnny Carsons"-parking lot we seen his famous white Corvette (with a pack of Pall Mall cigarettes on his driver seat!). Interesting tour with sets of Hollywood Squares and other shows. Uhhh, good old 80s... :-)
The most amazing part of this is just how ignorant "normal" people were about TV production back then, in the pre-computer era. Shocking just how rudimentary the tour got "here's how we cut between two cameras..." "Mr. Carson doesn't have a window behind him..." Jeez.
1:34 -- I was hoping "Wheel of Fortune" would appear somehow. :) Nice upload as always, but this "PM Magazine" thing gave viewers less of a "video tour" and closer to a "best of" with emphasis on "The Tonight Show". Given the number of shows that taped at NBC Burbank, I'm sure they could've spent far more than three minutes on this.
