Definitely curious about picking up a set of door pulls. I’m thinking they’ll make the cabin a bit more spacious and the cupholder a bit more usable.

You really need to run a pattern on the gear to make sure the ring gear is sitting correctly. If your gear is off it will wear real quick and end up causing bigger problems.

@@ColoredinLightjust ask how man need to be funny. Curious if this worked out for you. But a lot of people will use paint markers and spin the assembly and see how the paint transfers between the opinion and the ring gear. If you’re unsure of what to look for. See if the paint is the same as the gear marks on the gear. Now prior to disassembly, you should’ve grabbed the pinion and turned it by hand and really remember how that felt. If it feels off after you do the swap somethings wrong.

I'm thinking about doing this same thing. Do you know if the 6-speed NC1 diffs are compatible with the 6-speed NC2s? Are the JDM NCEC diffs all the same 4:1 drive ratio and same fitment?

I believe the japanese stuff is the same, and I also think the NC1/2 differentials are the same as long as the driveshaft matches.

I'm wondering how did you check and adjust the backlash when installing the lsd? (thinking about getting a cluch style lsd and i had no experience on adjusting backlash😭)

To be honest, I didn't mess too much with it. The rotation feels the same as it did before changing and I used a paint pen to verify the pinion contact after install.

Would be keen on the door pull if it was more like seat belt material and suited “leather” doors

Next time, run the RTV inside the bolt holes. As it is now, the oil can reach the threads and seep its way out. I hope the clearances lined up. Have fun with that LSD. I wish mine had one, for sure.
