I've returned to Dynasty in College Football Revamped, bringing back the UTSA Roadrunners. There's been some change for UTSA Football, and a new coach looks to lead them into a new era, on their quest to become the best College Football team in Texas.
In this dynasty I will be rebuilding a team that I already partially built back in NCAA 13. I never finished the job, but CFB Revamped gives me a chance to take on this challenge once again, in a fresh way.

Football is BACK on the channel, and I hope everyone enjoys this return of the UTSA Dynasty. I'm hoping this is both a great throwback for fans of the original dynasty, but also a great beginning for a new Dynasty experience. I'm almost ready to start recording the real games. I just have formation subs to take care of, but new episodes will be coming later this week.

@@terryowens3860 That team is the reason I discovered Cane. I was looking for a new team to do in NCAA '13 and someone online suggested UTSA because unlike every other bad team from a non P5 conference they have a ready made stadium that'll actually hold more than 25,000 people. So I looked on RU-vid to see if anyone was doing them and Cane's video was the first to come up in the search. The rest is history.

I was in high school about to enter college when you did the first UTSA series. I then graduated from UTSA in 2018 and am currently in med school at A&M! The love you gave us when we were just getting started was awesome to watch and it’s just as cool as a proud alum to see you bringing it back!

So excited! Minnesota Dynasty was what introduced me to the channel and NCAA will always have a soft spot in my heart for the countless hours I spent playing online dynasty with my buddies. Ever since I first heard of the revamped teams when they were just releasing updated uniforms and fields I was excited about what your next dynasty might look like. Seeing it finally here is awesome, and I can't wait for the first game of the season.

Man crazy times. I grew up watching and rewatching your UTSA series and Madden 12 Vikings franchise. I don’t believe I have ever been more invested in a series than these 2 and seeing Dominic Carter’s name again gave me one heck of a smile. Holy crap I'm actually crying a little. Your first UTSA series made me a college football fan. I still think about Evans Okatcha, still root for every UTSA player who makes it to the NFL, and still use them for most dynasties I play. This is the most hyped maybe I've ever been for a RU-vid series. This is awesome, can't wait to see football back on the channel in such a huge way!

Can't even explain how excited I am for another NCAA dynasty. As for the preseason scouting issue, if you did want to add guys to your board in the preseason, my method was to burn whatever scouting points I had on bottom of the barrel recruits and kickers/punters that I didn't need. But I definitely understand also wanting some extra challenge for recruiting too!

An interesting way you could do redshirting, if you wanted to get super in depth with it, is to not redshirt any of your freshman at the beginning of the season, and keep track of how many games each of your freshmen play at least one snap in (I don't count special teams snaps, but if you wanted to you could). If they play in 4 or more games, their redshirt is burned, but if they play in less than 4, you can still redshirt them, by using the DB editor the following year and just changing their year. That's how I do it anyway, as it follows the real life 4-game redshirt rule, and if I have any injuries I can still slot a freshman in if need be, when otherwise they would be unavailable to use because of redshirting at the beginning of the season. Adds in a little bit of strategy deciding if you want to play a freshman in specific scenarios.

@@MrHurriicane Sounds good! It's actually one of the more simple things to do using the editor. You just load up your dynasty file, go to Player Data, and then Player Info tab, and the 9th and 10th columns are Year and Redshirt. From there you can change a player's year (0 is freshman, 1 is soph, etc.) And then you can change whether or not the player's redshirt has been used or not (0 is not used, 2 is used). So for example, if I had a freshman that only played in 3 games, in the pre-season of the next year, I just go into the editor and change his year from 1 back to 0, and then change his redshirt from 0 (not used) to 2 (used). And you are done!

Just watched all of last few seasons of the utsa dynasty this month so I can get caught up. I didn't join the journey till the gophers dynasty so excited to see how this turns out. Yay footballs back baby!
