NCAA Football 14 Dynasty: Week 1 vs Colorado St. - Debut of Andy McKenzie (Season 5) 

Really nice way to start the season offensively. Andy lived up to the hype for the first game, and the offense dominated. Eric Carter continues his godly catches and Doug Duckett is stepping up even more. The running game was great too. Defensively? You got beat when you did press man a lot and I saw one of their receivers had 99 speed. I think it was Evans. That was just a recipe for disaster pressing someone with that much speed. I'd be more weary of opposing receivers speed ratings so you can cover them appropriately. As for the run defense...I've learned by now it's incredibly inconsistent so I'm not surprised when you get gashed.

I love this series, it is definitely better than your Rams franchise. Martindale just made his case to be an every down back, MacKenzie answered the questions, Duckett continued from where he left off, and Graves was a beast. One suggestion, I think you should test out a 5-2 defensive set to try and get all three DTs on the field at once; I don't see anyone being able to run on them.

Cane, you need to make a Leon Daniels jersey, sales will go crazy! Lol.

I don't think ANYBODY can say a bad word about Andy now. The only real gripe from this game would likely be the secondary allowing more completions downfield than amenable. That might be something to tweak once the Gophers are up against more talented wideouts and a sharper QB who'll be more liable to burn backs more often than not. But the offense looked nice and crisp, McKenzie gives this team SO much more depth being able to scramble and go deep unlike Leidner from last season, Martindale shows why he's the primary guy for the backfield--though one can't discount Edwards or even Thompson either--and what can be said about Eric Carter that hasn't been espoused upon? Great game Cane. Looking forward to the game at Indiana. I'm putting my money on Minn for damn sure!

Great game Cane, really impressive. The upside to this offense is beastly, but I cannot stress enough to STAY DISCIPLINED with Andy. You had a really nice game with him but staying disciplined is the key to consistency. And damn man, you really delivered with this one, this was a home run.

I thought your defense played well until the 4th quarter when it was pretty much garbage time. We believe in you Cane, Gophers 2017 National Champions.

Still sure you want Tyrone Campbell instead, Cane? This game proves you were right to pursue McKenzie in the end. How good is everyone's coverage aside from The Graveyard? Are your DBs well enough to play the press man or should you go to a more hybrid look with them? Me, personally, if your DBs are all really good at man-to-man, I'd mix that with some blitz-heavy packages & formations like my name was Rex Ryan. It works really well if your front seven is able to consistently get pressure on the QB and your secondary doesn't lose their man.

Love this series Cane. Would watch 10 more seasons of this. Keep it up and also keep the W's coming in lol.

Awesome series, this offence could be something special in the comming years, defence has to scheme it up a bit to do its part, looking forward to seeing this team getting ranked nationally.

Nice game cane. Mckenzie looked excellent out there. Martindale looks like a beast and overall your team looks pretty good! Try using pratt in a couple screens and shotgun runs. Hes got blazing speed

Mckenzie had a game that reminded me of Jameis Winston's first game against Pitt beginning the 2013 season. What a good feeling to know that your gonna have excellent play at the QB position for yrs to come. The defense had a bunch of highlights, but as a unit, was very flaky. Offensive looks potent this year though and we're looking forward to this season! Also, Santoso.....my gawd.

Oh man, this is going to be another long season. That defense seems terrible again. 24 points to CU? Not a good start. Luckily the offense looks improved. Hopefully, this year you can win the games you're supposed to win. The rest? Well, lets hope your offense can win a shootout, because that defense isn't stopping anyone.

I really think the DL and run defense would be a lot better if you had all 3 90+ rating DTs starting. Meyer is buried on the depth chart behind Peppers and Manning, even though he's 91 overall. You should replace the other starting end that isn't Salzwedel-- Henderson, I think? You didn't say his name at all today. You barely said his name last year. Give Meyer a chance to play. He might be a difference maker and help shore up a suspect run defense. Overall, good opening game and will be looking forward to next week's game.

Great game and a great way to start the season. Secondary has gotta step up though. Try to get some different looks on defense. Maybe some corner blitz's? I don't know how well the current scheme is working. You seem to have good personnel so i guess its got to be the play calling. The offense looked fantastic. Andy seems to make everyone better.

Offense looked great starting off the new season. I love Duckett and Carter!! Defense has to tighten down on the run getting man handled up front!

I like the team this year. Just don't get too happy with McKenzie's speed. Utilize it only when it is necessary because he looks like he has a pretty good arm too. Expecting BIG things this year and years to come.

This season looks promising. With MacKenzie at qb, you can now run your offense how you want to. Just shore up that d and we could be looking at a 9 or 10 win team here.

Offense looks reeeaaally good. Only gripes I had with this game was a tad to much rolling out with McKenzie and too many attempts to play press coverage when your DB's clearly can't press well enough to sustain it. Graves in particular is a smart, coverage beast, don't make him try and play bump and run, let him do his thing and bait people in a 2 man under scheme. Other than that, I'm loving what I'm seeing Cane!

My favorite part about this game was NO TURNOVERS! You didn't get in that early hole and you were able to stay with the run game.

I wonder if you should add more option elements, like a wildcat package or the "Split Y Flex"(the last split shotgun formations in the edit playbook screen) or "F Twins Over" formations to add even more explosiveness from your offense.

Wow, the offense was electric today. Looks like McKenzie is the real deal. The defense was very "bend but don't break," allowing lots of yards but stopping most drives before they allowed points. Still, not sure how well they're going to hold up against more talented teams than CSU.

I really think Martindale could be a Heisman contender next year. Dude's a playmaker... I've said it before and I say it again.

terrific game, you should keep trying different sets on D, so you can get the right combo of LB's and DB's on the field, you should also have a package that just has your 5 best cover players on the field at once regardless of position. When will we see recruiting?

Andy is really good he has a rocket arm only at 88 but will improve in training good accuracy and great speed he can be a 99 overall if you play good with him Cane and possibly Minnesota's first Heisman winner.

Great show by the offense but it seems that the defense might still be a work in progress this season. Overall the future looks bright.

The defense struggled against the run, the coverage slumped a bit, and there was a ton of dropped interceptions. But the offense was amazing.

Given that Martindale stays, the depth of your receivers, and the depth of your secondary, this team could be a top 10 team next season. I think this team could reach the Big 10 championship game.
