@@marsklassenusually she has major leg separation on her dismount and her pak salto on bars. But I think she's a tad bow-legged which probably makes things a bit more difficult. On the beam her 10 is overdue though.
I agree. She is outstanding! Without her, Florida would never be in this position. She has been on fire for at least 2 if not 3 years. Bless her. She can lead a team off!
she’s amazing! i never understand why announcers go crazy over athletes like worley when they get 3 9.9 or better when skaggs and other athletes do it consistently as well.
Florida’s whole team…just great! Leanne, Megan, Nya, Sloane, Leah, Alyssa, Riley,Trinity, Bri, Savannah…all of them just supporting each other and getting the job done. All those high score…speechless! That beam was lights out for everyone else. Everyone on Florida’s team scored a 9.95, jeez! They are a formidable force to be reckoned with…Good Luck in NCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS Florida! You are the winners of the NCAA as far as I’m concerned. Shout out to Leanne and Trinity for making 10’s. Special shout out to Megan Skaggs…just leading this team to perfection and always being on point, all the time…WOW…you get my MVP AWARD!
@@patpat446 well that was is in her first two years, she improved massively and even scored a few 10.0s on that event. (it should've been more but the judges didn't want to give out 10s to routines that actually deserve it)
Yeah I was about to say Kyla Roass, Maggie Nichols and Anastasia Webb entering the chat. If the 2020 season would have taken place, I think e special Kyla and Maggie would have smashed it. Kyla had such a strong junior and senior season, and Maggie throughout her whole college carrer. And let's not forget jade Carey, she isn't the 1st all around for no reason and a freshman. Trinity is great, but not the best in years. But she is definitely up there this season.
1. Nya Reed's vault should have been a damn 10!! 2. Trinity Thomas is hands down the best NCAA gymnast since Courtney Kupets. 3. Derrian Gobourne's floor should have been a 10! 4. Florida could go 199 with how this scoring is going. I could think of at least .3 more I would have scored them.
Season-long unsung hero Skaggs is consistently underscored... Leanne that somehow every commentator omits the fact that she was the AA silver medalist at 2021 Worlds !!! Had she not been covid quarantined because her roommate got covid, she would have been able to compete at the 2021 Olympics too & likely done very well. The wisdom that Jenny has employed with resting athletes this year is superb. Morgan & Elle return. Kayla DiCello AA Worlds 2021 bronze medalist & elite Anya Pilgrim are incoming freshmen. 5th year Sr returning likely = Sav, Nya, Trin, Leah 😲😲😲👏👏👏🧡💙🧡💙🐊🐊
Agree about Skaggs! One of the best lead offs in the country. However, Leanne was an alternate at the olympics so even if she didn’t have to quarantine, she wouldn’t have competed there.
Since Simone withdrew from many of the event finals after qualifying in prelims. The option to use alternates was available. Team mgt didn't go that route and substituted others. Damn politics.....
Wow Florida is scary! I mean that in a good way lol. Also happy for Auburn! Suni keeps impressing me. Her DLO hasn't been the best with leg separation and sometimes looking a little piked. It looks much higher and her legs were glued on day 1 and here! Such a hard worker!!!
i can't be impressed with Suni Lee at this level.... As an elite Gymnast all of her scores should be tens . she has lowered her degree of difficulty????? yes, i was a fan when she was on team USA

For example if Simon went to NCAA gymnastics she definitely wouldn’t be getting 10’s every routine because she doesn’t stick her landing all the time. So before you judge a gymnast just sit back and ask yourself. Can I even do a backflip?
@@MsTriteseariaCammy You do not understand NCAA gymnastics. It would be foolish for Suni or any other former elite to still be doing all elite level skills at NCAA. All it would do is cause more stress on their bodies. It is also ridiculous to expect her to have 10s all the time just because she is a former elite.

That you can rise up to the status of The nationally best and and then go back down to regular everyday Collegiate. Once you have made it to the elite level. You should not be going backwards.
I feel like I must be missing something with the scoring suspense at the very end. Even if Worley had scored a perfect 10, Kentucky's finishing score would be 197.525, right? Up from 196.55 after dropping the low score 9.025. And we already knew Auburn's score was 197.775. If anyone had done the math, they would have known Kentucky couldn't beat Auburn at that point. So why were they all waiting like Worley's score could have moved Kentucky into second place? Was it that they were waiting for all of the scores to be made official and Kentucky was just kind of hoping against hope? I feel like usually the commentators or someone does the math and tells us when that's the case.
I wondered the same thing and thought I was going crazy! I did the math in my head at first and thought I was an so I did the math full out and Auburn was firmly in 2nd place before Rayna stepped foot on the mat
Maybe the commentators are just bad in maths :D I didnt really like the commentators anyway. Always just talking about 3 gymnasts. Thats just not fair because it is a team competition and there is so much talent in those teams. It felt like they did only background research on those 3 gymnasts. For example no single word about Leanne Wong beeing the reigning World Championship silver medalist.
All they talk about is Suni’s scores. I don’t want to see another one of Suni’s 9.95 routines on UTUBE. Everyone of Florida’s gymnast can outscore Suni if given the chance. Suni definitely can’t outscore Leanne or Trinity. Suni’s split leap jumps are not that good, yet she still makes a 10 🤷♀️ (maybe you don’t have to do a split in the air in NCAA); right now, she never has the correct shape in the air. To be honest, Jade Carey can’t outscore Trinity or Leanne either, at this time. Jade Carey has a good program and most of her skills are good…just no dancing skills. I mean Jade just poses during her whole routine and then runs and does a flip. Doing that, Jade’s FX is very good. I just don’t understand how she gets away with not dancing at all and still making a 10🤷♀️. The Top gymnast are Trinity and Leanne right now. Both have good dancing skills, good form and good split leaps. I guess it’s scary when the 2 top gymnast come from one team. It kind of gives that team an edge. None of the commentators want to address it…it’s to controversial right now. So I’m going to predict that Florida will win it all. They have at least 6 gymnast on the team that can each get 9.9 or more on every event. Then they have Trinity, Nya, Megan and Leanne that can score 9.95 or more on each event. Florida just need to keep their cool and they will win.

If “everyone”on Florida’s team can outscore her, how come they all haven’t? She’s got y’all so pressed and she’s only going to get better and they’re going to keep talking about her more!!
@@il3171 literally 😭😭 miss girl is only there to have fun but everyone is on crack and trippin bout her. She’s worked very hard to be at where she’s at such as building herself from being a young gymnast to getting into elite and eventually winning the Olympic gold medal. She is technically better than those collegiate gymnasts but everyone else is still amazing no shaming here:)

@ThroughTheSkies right when florida started warming up for vault she did a warmup vault and fell down backwards flip couldve injured like her neck or smth lol
I’m love gymnastics except for the inconsistency in judging…they need to have tables in the front and the side’s bc if they can’t see an error then the score will reflect that. Auburn still won’t win the title unfortunately there are just better teams who always get higher scores than the SEC. They score the big ten differently as well as team’s out west…been that way for a long time. Inconsistent Judging in my opinion is to blame.
Actually she has gotten a 10 in both floor and vault. The coach is smart bc she giving her time to learn to consistently stick it without pressure bc they dont need the score. A good coach not only teaches an athlete how to compete but provides them with the best opportunity to grow . Man I love this team they are locked in this year!! Great coaching all year!!
It's the same reason they are working with baby girl Riley on bars while continuing to repair the confidence that elite coaching can bring. Her confidence and body was a mess before going to Arizona. This damage leaves mental scares that can damage an athletes confidence and these scares take time to heal. I think the coaching staff and team understand this since many have come from the elite meat grinder USAG. 😥
A few things. First, her name is Sloane, not Skye. Her sister who is still elite is named Skye. Also, I kind of agree with you. Her vault is pretty meh when she hits, which is quite rare (she only hit once). Her floor ten was extremely overscored, I had it at a 9.85 being generous. The anchor spot doesn’t seem to work well for her. On beam, where she doesn’t anchor, she has been consistently scoring in the 9.9+ range. Other than that one bars meltdown, she is pretty fine in the lead off. I honestly think if they keep her in vault, bars, and floor lineups for nationals, her routines will be hammered with deductions. Payton’s 1.5 yurchenko is better and I’m not sure why she isn’t competing vault this season. With Morgi and Lazzari for next season (fingers crossed), she may not be in all of the lineups.
I am mid-way through the first rotation, and wish the gentleman (uh, Steve) would stop talking.... back story of scores and current scores--- we can see them(!) no need to fill the airtime with this... history of scores/previous meets... conjecture and all the while routines are happening without recognition. I appreciate Ashley's knowledge and quick gymnastics 101 she offers on the fly.
Strange to me that the most 10s ever given are in the SEC regions. I think their judges are loose. And blind. When you give too many (sometimes undeserving) 10s they just don't mean anything anymore.
I mean also when you have Trinity Thomas(best collegiate gymnast in the nation) and Suni Lee(best gymnast in the world) there’s gonna be high scores you can’t say those 10s weren’t deserved they were just on fire that day especially Trinity
Why is an elite gymnast competing against collegient Gymnast? this part makes nonsense. what if Simone Biles was in the competition? Sunni Lee was in the Olympics.... She has medals from it. Elite Gymnast are on a Higher platform there routines are a lot more difficult they compete on a global platform etc.. why would you drop back down to college level and i am not trying to take away from the college completion. can you imagine Usain Bolt competing against college track teams.
